So my question is this: will you love your wife as Christ loves the church, will you give yourself for her? Will you be the spiritual leader in your home? I will give myself for my wife. I most definately be the Spritual leader in our home. As God has healed me from past relationships, mainly the last one I have been able to forgive and to love myself. I realized to truly love the woman God has for me I must Love myself. I hated myself for so long and now God has healed me. I will Love Honor and Respect my wife just as I Love Honor and Respect Christ. I so desire to become on flesh with my wife and to honor the words Christ has given us in regards to marriage. Posted : 16 May, 2009 11:43 AM dear lydia,, as you know the bible does instruct us on how to love the wife.. yes.. but if you had never felt that kind of love before then youd not understand it.. so within the last 18 months or so i did come to know such a love.. and even though it didnt work out. i still got to know that i can feel that kind of love and can give it.. so theres hope for me yet hehe.. ole cattle Post Reply

I am going to be sincerely honest and open in response to this question, and the answer is...NO!! Now before nyone gets too carried away let me explain myself, the reason I say no is because I feel it is impossible for myself a mere man to love a woman as much as a righteous holy God does His bride. But ask me will i strieve to love my wife as Christ loves His church and the answer is a resounding YES!! I will try each and every day to show her what she means to me, I would give my life for her, i would scarifice for her. I fully believe love is an emotion but its much more than this, it is also a choice but notthe type of choice you make and then forget or change your mind about. God gives us the capacity to love, because He is love. I hope this makes sense, God bless Post Reply
