It seems to me (and there are likely many details I don't know) that you are fairly far from being at the end of your rope. Asking folks for money to protect your good credit rating seems, to me, to be a stretch when there are folks living in their cars with no credit cards and no credit rating at all. Perhaps you should consider advertising for a roommate (move your whole family into one bedroom and rent out the others), working several jobs (I did that as a single mom), or talking to your local church. Those are just suggestions, but things that I've tried through my life when things got financially tight. Post Reply
