Arminianism or CalvinismPosted : 5 Apr, 2009 11:17 AMI understand that it isn't that clear cut with that, with many factors people believe are involved in salvation, including whether or not it can fall away after you are saved. |

Arminianism or CalvinismPosted : 5 Apr, 2009 04:59 PMI am a Calvinist. I believe salvation is accomplished by the power of Almighty God.The Father chose a people, the Son died for them, the Holy Spirit makes Christ's death effective by bringing the elect to faith and repentance, thereby causing us to willingly obey the gospel. The entire process (election, redemption, regeneration) is the work of God and is by grace alone. Thus God, not man, determines who will be the recipients of the gift of salvation. |

Arminianism or CalvinismPosted : 7 Apr, 2009 02:09 PMI don't have an opinion about this, I have a fact but I am not going to share it because I deleted one of my friends over this same discussion. But answer this one question. If a person gets saved and later quits praying and reading and going to church and says screw you God are they still saved |

Arminianism or CalvinismPosted : 7 Apr, 2009 06:52 PMI would question if they really were saved to begin with. The point of the question is to get to know what other guys think. In order for a couple to be equally yoke, I think this is an important question for the two of them to answer. |

Arminianism or CalvinismPosted : 13 Apr, 2009 06:44 PMThis could be quite the interesting debate. Im hesitant to get too involved, simply because Im no authority on either matter. So Ill premise the following with the fact that its simply my own personal opinion on the matter. |

Arminianism or CalvinismPosted : 19 Apr, 2009 10:43 PMI can show how clear the scriptures are and that they only teach reformed theology, just like our reformed fathers defended and expounded upon: Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, Spurgeon, Knox, VanTil, etc. |
