Hi guys!

What events do you think there should be, or what events would you like to attend on Valentine's Day?

For example, would you like to go to a speed dating event or something similar?

Interested in your thoughts!

Speed dating is okay.

What I say is that if it is a group of single people then we need ways to mingle.

I use to attend with a Christian singles group and all they really did was have a weekly Bible study and snacks afterward, and the group was so overly religious that it did not address the issue of being single.

If I want to go to a Bible study then I will go to a Bible study, but a singles' group needs to be about mixing and mingling to end the state of being single.

As like if we go to an Alcoholics Anonymous then we will talk about NOT being an alcoholic, so if we go to a singles' group meeting or event then the purpose needs to be about NOT BEING SINGLE.

So if a singles' group wants to have a Bible study for Valentine's Day then I would not like that.

I would like to always have a romantic date with a nice Lady on every V Day.

So if no date then I would want some kind of a romantic type of event with the group.

I think speed dating would be terrific... any event where you can actually meet someone and get to know them. Talking to a person only through a computer screen is not enough. I know there are some ladies that are more conservative and want to talk for a couple of months before meeting. There is nothing wrong with that but in order to get to know the person in the profile... you got to out and meet them somewhere such as dinner and a movie, do other hobbies etc. I would definately be open to speed dating and may try it within the next couple of months.

jonmark,

I used to believe that also until I met my soulmate. I have learned that communicating alone opens intimacy and acceptance that otherwise might be missed or delayed.

We men find our comfort in activities and are most often uncomfortible verbally and especially with being vaurneable emotionally.

Finding a woman that you can be completly open and honest with apart from physical activities has many benefits. I hope one day you will discover them.
