However because of the times a lot the people in the Bible didn't listen and as far as I understand some kind of punishment came along with it. Abram and Hagar and Solomon who was the wisest :) getting mixed up with pagan women. The problem come with "soul ties" forming between more than one person and emotionally/physically /spiritually etc it will be close to impossible to keep an relationship stable. If we look at the hebrew letters the first letter is aleph (1) where we get alpha . It can't be divided and represents God. Totally unified . It also means the Head or Leader. The second letter is Beit (2) it means house and can be divided . You see houses back then were a husband and wife and children. The fact if you see the 2 it can't be more than that. These 2 are accountable for there family unto God. Awesome thing is if we put it together Aleph+Beit we get the Strong leader of the house and it forms the word AV or ABBA which means father . There's a lot of symbolism/safety/trust in that design, and I think that if we mess with it, with polygamy/fornication/adultery, the results speak for themselves. God's plan is most often a protection and not a restriction. I think the bible describes polygamy quite often, but definitely prescribes monogamy. :peace::peace: Post Reply

In can talk about it from two dimensions. One perspective of the scriptures and the other being the moral aspect of it. God instituted marriage between a man and a woman. Adam and Ever were quite a handy example that came to mind. If God intend that we get polygamous, he would have established that from time and institutionalized it. Rather he set Adam and Eve up as example to be followed. It was a change of order as moral began to run aground and man's lust became insatiable, we began to give in to just anything that comes our way! Ephesians 5:25 HUSBANDS, love your WIVES, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it. He did not say HUSBAND, love your WIVES, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it. `Morally, its harder than not to love two women and keep them together in same real time without incurring some angst and volatility betwixt the two. Its not always easy. For you to do so as a man, you will run to the end of yourself. Just same way BIGAMY is not a thing you adore. POLYGAMY is not a thing to be entertained Post Reply

So which means he gave himself sincerely over by definition and plan to what he came to do on earth as our savior. If any believer too had felt the hand of God or his leading to be SINGLE, there is no sin in being SINGLE for that person. Post Reply
