Questions vs. DiscussionPosted : 24 Sep, 2012 06:00 AMWhat are some good topics that will bring on an interesting discussion? I feel like when you try to get to know people online or in general, there are only those short answered questions that are so typical. "What is your favorite kind of music? movies? food?... etc." But what do you fella's enjoy talking about? Or is there such a thing? lol. I know you can stimulate some conversation after getting past the basic questions, but after a while it just seems you ask the same questions like "How are you doing? and What did you do today?" So yeah... give me some ideas!!! |

Questions vs. DiscussionPosted : 24 Sep, 2012 06:59 AMOh, boy. Just google the last results from a football game and strike up a conversation about sports. Then, ask them what their favorite team is and who they feel should have won, and proceed to argue on the other team's behalf... Even if you've never watched football in your life and have no idea what a Cheesehead is, and the only Dolphin you've ever heard of belongs at Sea World. |

Questions vs. DiscussionPosted : 24 Sep, 2012 11:27 AMAny topic can lead to deep conversation. It comes down to how you lead the conversation more then what it is. If you turn to yes/no questions you will kill the conversation. You have to ask questions that require thought and you must seem interested in whatever it is your talking about. |
