Please, Palun, porfavor, S'il vous pla�t Ok, we all know that now a days more people are accepting of different cultures/ethnicities which is awesome. But what I have been noticing over the years is that more men are looking into being with someone from another race, but for the wrong reasons. Allow me to explain: It been hard for me to find someone (Yes... Christians!) who would go for me and not how I am built physically. Being of mixed race and the skin color that I am, I tend to get STEREOTYPED both physically and mentally because of women in music videos who are usually of color and Spanish shows/soap that are all about curves. Believe it or not, I have a couple of friends in the same boat feeling self-conscious about themselves because they are woman of faith and can't seem to find men who would appreciate what is truly important, a woman of God, values, family. What ever happened to the good old days when that was the least important?! Is there any women out there who are skinny,curvy, tall, short who feel my pain??? WHERE ARE ALL THE TRUE DECENT MEN? You are someone I would definately choose for a friend. That said I feel that most men and yes even men on this site go for looks and bodies before they consider what a woman is on the inside. I don't think they even consider if the woman would really be a life mate. I know I'm not a raving beauty but I have a lot to offer as a person and mate but that doesn't seem to matter either. And even if it isn't, a truly decent person can mistake laziness for inability to be sensitive enough. *sigh* There is a problem, and it's way bigger than we can answer. It pains me that willing - and as far as I can see, decent - Christians cry out on these forums that their search for a spouse is so difficult. While holding (or, "Because we hold") to Jesus as our Lord, maybe we should be less afraid to risk that little bit more to answer the need of another for such a one. Just a suggestion. Post Reply

When I spoke of risk, I meant it as a challenge to break out of a mindset seeking only a non-smoker, or non-drinker, or virgin, or anything based on any stereotype you mentioned. Looking for, in a future spouse, one who seeks to see people through the eyes of our Lord and God - past the skin, the vocab, curves, pedigree, the self-consciousness - is timeless. You seem to desire this in a man; stay true to it for God. Post Reply

This is not always what God wants to give that person. So, they stay single. What we choose is to always what God chooses for Us. I just think we often ask for a mate that God does not have that man/women in mind for Us. God does not think like a man. He knows what is Best for Man. Now if you are a Virgin then God honors that, and would want to give you a Vigin bride I would think. However, many people on date sites want physical things, nice looking, tall, thin, great legs the list goes on and on. I am a attrative lady for my age and the first thing most men say on thes Christian sites is; You are a nice looking lady. Many did not even read my Profile. lol God looks at beauty Inside. This is my Point. Not to affend anyway here. That is just my thoughts cause God does not always give Us what we Want. Many stay single because of that. IMO Post Reply
