View Profile History	A man after God's own heart Posted : 20 Aug, 2012 04:24 AM Good question, First I dont like this statement ( What would Jesus Do) It implies we know what Jesus would do, Right? We are not called to assume what Jesus would do but humble our selves before God and listen to the Spirit. When we believe we know what God wants of us, check it with scripture to make sure it doesnt violate Gods written word. For me being a man after Gods own heart is this. First to know what God says about a matter. Through His word...Then seek to understand His heart. I have been guilty of just taking scripture for its surface meaniing and run with it. It wasnt until I began to slow it down and really seek God in His Word that I began to know Him. Really being a man after Gods own heart is a deep desire to know God. As a man, when I know God I will be more like Him and more equipped to love the world around me. The treasure of discovering God is unlike any other. Seek first the Kingdom of God............. View Profile History	A man after God's own heart Posted : 21 Aug, 2012 03:51 PM I love the double meaning this line presents in reference to how God saw David. As a man who sought after God's own heart to know who He was and is and also a man God loved dearly because he lived a life of worship and surrender to Him. In all his ways acknowledging God and when he sinned he had a repentant heart, a broken spirit and a contrite heart one God did not despise. Oh I love David and I pray to meet such a worshiper and that I can be found as a woman after God's own heart. Post Reply
