I think maybe that it is a leftover from the fact that the ppl who own and run this site, have others that arent dedicated to Christians. They left that option on because some want the benefits of marriage, without the committment of marriage. Post Reply
View Profile History	What does "long term relationship" mean? Posted : 12 Aug, 2012 10:41 AM I think it means exactly that... a relationship that is long term. If ANYTHING, isn't marriage supposed to be considered "long term?" I tend to think "till death do us part" is pretty long term. While this may not be the main intent, I think it's very plausible. It can also mean, I'm interested in a serious long lasting relationship in hopes of one day getting married to this partner. Some people might feel uncomfortable labeling it as "finding a marriage partner" because there are people that take it as if they are desperate and hungry to get married just as there are some people who take "long term relationship" to mean they "want the benefits of marriage without actually being married." I'm certain there are desperate people who are marriage hungry with little care as to who it is and I'm sure there are people who "want the benefits of marriage without actually being married" that chooses both of these options. My advice: Before we assume to know someone that we actually DON'T know, ask him or her why it is they chose that answer. After all, they JUST might know themselves better than you know them. Relationship = relating? hahaha, i would be more willing to take a chance on a profile that said "Weekend Fling" as they might be lying,or,atleast they are honest? long term seems like,just long enough to fullfill whatever agenda the person obviously has?
