Hello Guys! I just had a question that I needed to ask based on some recent experiences.

What do you think is the best way for two people to get to know each other on CDFF?

I feel that just have actual conversation is better than throwing a list of questions at each other and answering them. You can learn more about a persons actual character through in-depth conversation than asking them short answer questions or even closed ended questions.

Opinions from the opposite sex are appreciated!

Thanks! Faith

I agree. In-depth conversation are always better. Maybe a few specific questions thrown in. Recounting stories from your, and the other persons, past also helps. It allows you to hear things that helped form that person and gives the other person the same perspective of you. Of course, God must be the focus your interactions.

Faith,

My sister is faith also :)

What everyone is looking for is relationship. When i met my future bride we instantly were able to relate on a deep level concerning our faith.

We started in the IM window and in a short time were communicating by phone. Over the past 18 months we have developed a relationship seperated by over 7000 miles of distance.

But the intimacy and connection for us is beyound anything we could have imagined.

For me personally when you take the pressure of the physical out of the way then we were able to develop a true relationship.

So, in conclusion finding a person where you both can resolve problems together, understand oneanother, have fellowship together etc.....

These are all based in good communication. It might take some time also to get past the pretenders. Communication will help us to determine a individuals sincerity.

When we get involved physically it clouds everything for us and we end up makeing poor decisions.

Me feincee and I have had many fights over the past 18 months about 1 every other month i would say, but we were albe to reslove each one through my leadership in understanding and forgiveness.

As a woman, can the man you are interested in lead your relationship in health? And can you follow?

Leading and following is really the bottom line. There unity exists. Unity and harmony. Love and respect.......

Humbly,

Michael

I don't know if there is such a thing as "best way". I think whatever you're comfortable with and/or whatever your preference might be is what is best.

That being said, I don't like to go back and forth via email for days or weeks. I'd much rather at least use a messenger or have a phone conversation once I'm genuinely interested in someone.

Thanks you guys for your input. Crayola- I agree phone conversation or at least chat messaging is much more conducive for conversation.

Well...I've found out that if you can beat somebody soundly at a board game...and they don't cuss (?).

They're PROBABLY gonna be o.k. In the long run . but, I could be wrong

I prefer a light hearted conversation just like in real life, spiced with some comedy. I don't like tension or stress in any conversation, so I may write some funny things. I try to do that only when appropriate. The younger generation seems to enjoy it. Most people who are my age are not prepared to handle it.

Role playing can be fun. You two pretend to be somebody you're not, and go from there. Play. Have fun.

Yes, that's not a good idea. I don't like to throw a list of questions at people unless they do it to me first, in which case, we'll turn it into a game. I like to turn my conversations into fun. But some people are serious types, so you can't do that with everyone.
