Let us stop referring to our selves as sinners.

We are the redeemed. Do you realise that before God you are not a sinner? Before God you are a redeemed child of His?

Once the blood has covered you. You are a new creature. Not will be a new creature but you are!!

Their is nothing prideful about claiming who you are. Its not anything you did but the gift of God is righteousness.

You are Righteous..........

Men, Lets us lead the way to show the world we are the redeemed of the Lord!!

Strength & Honor,

Michael

It is dangerous to think of one-self as being righteous, and a more notable virtue is found in humility where we accept our faults as the sinners which we are.

I am not without sins or sinning as I still have to repent of some wrong every year and some times every day, and some times I am NOT able to do the needed repentance.

I do not see being redeemed as meaning we are righteous, as redeemed does not really mean that.

I find that strength and honor are qualities that come best from a healthy dose of humility.

Is their anything proud about living in the reality of what has been given to me?

My pride is in the giver of these things. I am proud that God is a redeemer. That I benifet from who He is.

I am proud of My God!!

And because I am....I proclaim His wounderous works.....

I will shout His Glory form the roof tops and not be ashamed of My God.

Having humility does NOT mean groveling around, and it does not mean to cut our self down.

You guys are presenting it like that age-old claim that it is better to rule in Hell rather than to be a servant in Heaven.

I say we have got to look at the example which we are setting, and if one runs around claiming to be righteous then everyone else will surely doubt it.

I have nothing more to say to you personally about this sand.

I will not allow you to put me on the defensive. I know who I am.

I have never believe in "once saved, always saved". We can backslide into sin. Remember, Judas was one of Jesus' apostles, yet he betrayed the Son of God. I praise God for dragging me out of the quagmire of sin, but I do not take my salvation for granted. Remember, we are all tempted to sin. Even Christ was tempted. Flesh is weak. We all try not to sin, but each of us sins all the time. For example, lust. We all fall short of the Glory of God. Our righteousness is as fithy rags to God. The Word of God says this in no uncertain terms.

Apos,

Exactly right, Our righteousness is as dirty menstral cloths is really what it means.

If you read carefully my post I say who i am i not of me. My position is not of being a sinner any longer, it is being one of the redeemed. As such many ofther things come with it. I live in who I am through Christ not what I used to be.

Do I sin and transgress the law of God? Absolutly but I am not a sinner.

The bible tell us we are new creations the old has passed away behold all things become new. It tells us we are clean, washed pure. My righteousness is no longer in my self but I am righteous through God.

Remember we have been born new creatures.

We were once dead in our trespasses and sins, now we are alive in Christ.

Live in Christ............................................

These are basic principles of the Christian faith.

Strength & Honor,

Michael

I don't know if this is just a semantics thing with the OP or maybe I'm totally misunderstanding him. I'm okay with calling myself a sinner just as I'm okay with saying "I have blue eyes" or "I am 6 feet 2 inches tall barefoot."
