Please, Please, pleasePosted : 10 Aug, 2012 07:47 AMIt is dangerous to think of one-self as being righteous, and a more notable virtue is found in humility where we accept our faults as the sinners which we are. |

Please, Please, pleasePosted : 10 Aug, 2012 11:32 AMHaving humility does NOT mean groveling around, and it does not mean to cut our self down. |

Please, Please, pleasePosted : 10 Aug, 2012 03:59 PMI have never believe in "once saved, always saved". We can backslide into sin. Remember, Judas was one of Jesus' apostles, yet he betrayed the Son of God. I praise God for dragging me out of the quagmire of sin, but I do not take my salvation for granted. Remember, we are all tempted to sin. Even Christ was tempted. Flesh is weak. We all try not to sin, but each of us sins all the time. For example, lust. We all fall short of the Glory of God. Our righteousness is as fithy rags to God. The Word of God says this in no uncertain terms. |

Please, Please, pleasePosted : 13 Aug, 2012 06:44 PMI don't know if this is just a semantics thing with the OP or maybe I'm totally misunderstanding him. I'm okay with calling myself a sinner just as I'm okay with saying "I have blue eyes" or "I am 6 feet 2 inches tall barefoot." |
