Another Brother and I have been thinking about (the) standard. Can anyone tell me what it is?

You're asking the wrong people what "the standard" is. Ask our Heavenly Father. We all have our standards and do our best to make our standards correlate with God's. Due to different beliefs, differing religions and Christian denominations, our standards vary.

So unless I'm over thinking this question, I assume you just wanted to know our individual standards?

Too me "the Standard" is the bible. The "old" Testament is filled with "to do's" and "do not's". But if you look at the ten commandment's they all talk about all differen kindst relationships one after another and how we should treat them. We are told in the "new" testament which is a commentary by God about his instructions and his son was the messiah because he obeyed all the requirements as a man to show that obeying his father is easy in him. That if he can do it, then so can we in him.

That is why he says Matthew 11:28-30

28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke [His teaching about the commandments, and life] upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke [or my teaching on how to live] is easy and my burden is light.

:)

You know Bob....I think we spend more time worrying about people loving us rather than us loving people.

We react when we feel unloved and push people away rather than showing Love and understanding in return.

I have been guilty of this and I never want to be guilty of this again even though I probally will.

I have had to repent of some very selfish attitudes I have had towards people.

Jesus was the most understanding man to walk this ball of earth. He gave up His deity to understand what it is to be human and experience our fraility.

Since Jesus is the expression of Love our standard is in a person. We make the bible our standard but the Word of God is a man become flesh that dwellet with us. We beheld His glory................

let us men become like Jesus then we will know the standard.

In Him,

Michael
