Other than sex, what would make you feel really loved in marriage.

Since many of us are divorced, and lack of communication is a big cause, I thought it would be interesting to try to figure out what we needed but didn't recieve from previous relationships. Real conversation? Quality time? Appreciation for chores done? Etc.

My ex could never be tender, at least with me, I would want to feel loved by being held, held when we are watching TV, held when I cry, held after intimacy and hugged and kissed when we are not being intimate as well.

Also being valued as a co-heir to the Kindom of Heaven, being seen by him as intelligent and with a lot to offer, and he would tell me so.

good question :)

I think men being tender is a big one. I think so many of them think of it as a sign of weakness. I feel it just shows how much of a man they really are.

The little things...things that show you are paying attention...acts of love, no matter what they are....showing support and encouragment. ....I would say that same things that women are looking for.....I"m glad that God has lead me to my Xette! She's absolutely amazing!! I just hope and pray that I'm the man of God that God knows she deserves....

Love is not a matter of doing one thing only really good.

When we read in scriptures of the example of what love is its multi demensional.

We can be doing everything perfect but completly in error in one area and cause all that we have done to be of little effect.

That leaves the person scratching their head saying but I loved or showed love to my spouse or this person what happened?

Love is a daily , moment by moment expression of what is needed for each moment and each individuals heart.

How do we know if we are being successful unless we are willing to communicate and listen?

And Love NEVER fails. What does this mean? How does it apply to our situations?

You see we ask these sort of questions trying to find mister or miss right and we miss the bigger picture.

Lovingly,

Michael
