"Little pig little pig let me come in!"

"Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin, I will not let you in!!!!!!!"

We all know the story of the three little pigs, the wolf was hungry and wanted some pork lol. So he tried to gain entry but those little squealers refused to let him come in because they knew his intent.

Are we being just as careful?

We want to find a spouse one day but I think we may be forgetting that God has placed purpose within us. That we are to minister to others and that God has anointed us to do this. We speak of being unequally yoked, but are we guarding ourselves and asking God to give us discernment concerning the people we let into our lives? Those who are sent on assignment to distract us, among other things? That come in sheep's clothing but are truly wolves? Are we seeking God's direction even his permission in regards to such things? Would we be able to save ourselves heart ache and being bound up with unnecessary things?

Thoughts?

Until we reflect on our own brokenness (and we are all broken in different areas of our lives, if you were born on earth) and learn to recognize our own self-destructive behaviours, we will allow other's brokenness to take advantage of those weak spots in us, and we will be hurt.

A wolf is simply someone who refuses to acknowledge or work on their destructive ways.

When we become convinced that it serves neither the wolf nor ourselves to allow another's destructive behaviour to overtake your life, then we can have peace. The wolf will either become jealous (even enraged) that you have peace and it does not, or it will go away and try to take someone else's peace for themselves (which of course you cannot do - you must build your own peace - with God as your carpenter!)

Good topic Sis!

Thanks TNB @ peacenic I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean?

Yes we are commanded to show love but we are also commanded to be wise. What I am saying is that while it is good to have relationships we need to be discerning. I have seen friends let people into their lives as well as myself that God did not want there.

We cannot be naive in thinking while we are to love our fellowmen there won't be those who come like angels of life to get our eyes of the prize that is Jesus Christ.

Peacenic I am still daft as to where the disconnect is between my post and where you are getting your ideas from.

Yes Jesus died for our sins and set us free and we are commanded to love others. I am talking about being discerning and not letting just anybody run roughshod in your life especially in relationships. You need to be careful who you hook yourself up with.

There are people sent on assignment to try to distract you from yours. I think especially in relationships, why should anyone assume everyone we me or like or are attracted are supposed to be in our lives?

That's what I am talking about not mistreating anyone because of past sins.

once upon a time there were three lil sheep, one live in a prairie, one lived in a trailer park, and one lived in a mansion.

now the wolf pack was always prowling around seeking whom they might devour, the sheep that lived in the mansion laughed and thought i have a nice brick house and the best security system money can by....the one that lived in the trailer park laughed and thought i have a shotgun and my neighbors are potheads, they will eat the wolves, and the one that lived in the praire thought, what a great shepherd i have.....

so the days went by,and suddenly in one day,the sheep that lived in the mansion learned that the corporation He was working for was downsizing, and his mansion would be foreclosed upon,

the one that lived in a trailer park learned while He was at His minimum wage job that the neighbors had burned down the park while attempting to freebase something or the other,

and the one that lived in the prairie, had a little rain fall on His head....

so the sheep that lived in the trailer park and the sheep that lived in the mansion both ended up in the prairie while running trying to save their lives, they encountered the shepherd HE said " so sorry,You are not my sheep."

moral of this story? trust not, wealth, houses, people,or weapons, even thy own undestanding...Trust only the shepherd....
