I don't want to generalize. This is an isolated example in my life. Why do guys send good emails to establish great rapport, ask for a girl's number and then forget to call? It seems to me that a good rapport would continue through with phone calls and eventually a meeting in person. Am I wrong in my assessment?

Guys, do you have any thoughts on this?

I wouldn't ask for someone's number unless I planned to call it.

I'm with ^.

That's just mean, and unnecessary.

Given that you guys state the obvious, is a girl then supposed to make an effort to call and chat (we have exchanged numbers already),or wait for a call. Do you want your girl to be proactive or reactive?

I think initiative gets generalized to men too much sometimes. If you have the number, call him. You've got nothing to lose and only God-knows-what to gain. I believe in taking initiative with my own wants and desires (easier said than done, I know), but I know that I like it when others take initiative with me, as well.

Thanks everyone. We are continuing conversations over phone and e-mail pretty regularly right now.

It is a far more confusing game than I think it was ever meant to be!

I wish you all the best iheartdogs, and whether this guy is 'it' or not, that God brings you someone who will stand by you and whom you can stand by!

:yay:
