Posted : 29 Jan, 2012 09:18 PM I wouldn�t worry too much about all the guys viewing your profile and not writing, that is the norm on this site. Remember, just because they look doesn�t mean that they are interested. You can�t really know what a person is going to be like until you read their profile, and by then it will already show that they have seen it. I don�t see anything specific as to why guys are writing to you. Are you taking the time to write to men first? If you want to get to know a guy a little better, just write him a message. Don�t sit around and wait for the guys to message you first. It�s basically the nature of online dating, a lot of looking, but not a lot of writing. Post Reply

I cant speak for everyone, but I first look at the picture and if I like what I see, I click to see her profile. Sometimes I mark her on favorites if I dont have time to send a message. Then, I message her later or if I dont think we would be a good match, or her age setting exclude me, I dont message her. @IODC, Sacremento is a remote city? We arent talking about Nome, Alaska. Think about what God's people did at His command. How far they travelled on foot, through deserts, enduring hardships, all at God's command. If God has decided that she is the one He wants to be your wife, is any distance too far? Just be happy that He doesnt command you to walk there. Post Reply

I don't get an overhwelming number of messages either, so I understand your frustration. Your profile looked great; pictures were really good. But I would say that it isn't necessary to say what type of person should NOT contact you. No one wants to enter into a relationship with someone who doesn't have a true relationship with Christ, but it helps to invite the ones who do, rather than warn those who don't to stear clear. It's just a tone thing. Trying to keep things honest, but also as friendly and positive as possible. Hope this helps some :-) Post Reply

They get read, and we wait a few days....and there's no reply, from about 90% of the women. Usually, of the 10% that do respond, 80% will give you a "Sorry, but you're not the one God has for me" rejection letter, and the other 20% actually send you a reply. Of those 20%, maybe 10% of them will actually write back more than once, and only one of the two will probably continue to message back and forth. So in short, for most men here, it isn't any different. For every 1000 women we message, maybe-MAYBE 1-2 will actually respond in something that could be called 'amiable.' This site just isn't big, and a lot of our users aren't active, or apparently interested in dating, even though this website is just for that. Post Reply

Don't feel bad about it though, I believe what the above posters have said about this site not being very large and has a number of inactive users. While I understand all of this, I'm starting to think that this site may be a waste of my time too because there's really no one in my area and most of us here aren't looking for anything long distance.
