Check this box to Block users from contacting you if they are Outside of United States:

I had to Check this Box.

The spouse I need should live in the USA.:excited:

I'm not moving out of the USA and I do not

need a man, who just wants me for a Green card.

How many men have options open to a relationship with a woman Outside the USA ?

For me there is communication from the forums and then there is communication for dating. I have my settings completly open so that anyone on the forums can message me. But, I state in my profile that I am not interested in starting a relationship with someone outside of the US.

I think that it is wrong to think that EVERYONE from outside of the US wants a green card. But, it can be difficult to know who does and who doesn't.

I totally agree if that's your preference that is all well and good but to think that all people outside of the US wants to use you guys for green cards is kinda offensive. If I want one I can apply for it myself. You guys need to be sensitive aboiut how you say things.

Sorry, if this offends someone.

However, I know many guys online that

say they do not want anyone oversees or

out of the USA.

We all have preferences online. Some people

are just more open about what they are.

No everyone does not want a Green Card.

I said, I do not need some man that wants

a Green card.

But there are some that do, and it is difficult

to know Who.

Dkj, a green card essentially allows a non-citizen to hold a job and live permanently and legally within the United States of America. At least, that's what I understand it to mean. A friend of mine had to get one for his wife when she finished grad school; she was from Serbia (or Croatia? not sure which), and was here on a student visa. He came over from Italy on a student visa, and had to get a green card for himself when he graduated. Neither of them could get a job or remain in the USA indefinitely without the green card. That's the way he explained it to me, anyway...I assume that I understood his thick Italian accent correctly!

Anyone else have a better or more correct explanation?

Thats basically it BC. The Green card is required for extended stays in the US. Usually they are given for extended work Visas, or while waiting to become a US citizen. When people on this site refer to getting a green card, they usually mean that they are using someone to become a US citizen.

Immigration laws in the US are very strict, and it is very hard to gain citizenship in the US. Not only are there requirements such as checking for problems with the law, and needing to have a job or relative here, but there is also an arbitrary number of people that they will allow to enter in the US every year from each country. But, one way to get around that arbitrary number is to marry someone, since there are no limits on the number of spouses that can become citizens. All you need to do is have meet the other person in person sometime in the last two years, and you can get a fianc visa for them. Once they enter the US, you have 90 days to get married. After that, your spouse can file for a work visa so they can apply for a job. This work visa is what is called a green card. After that, your spouse can then apply to become a US citizen.

And once they are a US citizen, they can divorce you and stay in country.

I've tried long distance relationships before, and I can tell you that I'm just not cut out for one. Every time I tried, it ended the same way for the same reasons. Those were all in the country. I can't imagine all the complications that a LDR with a woman overseas would entail. Call me a bad Christian if you like, but I know from past experience that relationships with women in my area work out a lot better. Because of that, I set my settings and search accordingly.

One of my Nephews, who is now 36, met a young lady online 5yrs

ago. He went to Romania and married her. It took him

a Year to get her over to this Country. They have been

Married 4 years and live in N.C. Which is his home state.

She is very attractive and around his age. No children.

He just sent her home for 2months to see her Alling

mom. My Nephew is a kind-hearted guy and hard working

man. He could not find a desent mate in the US.

So, it does work for some people. I say whatever works

for you. I am a Older lady and I do not plan to court

a man oversees. lol

Some cases of courting and marrying foriegners, You

better have plenty of Money. My Nephew had two

jobs and was a saving person.

It cost him a lot of money to court her and bring

her over her and then Pay all the expenses she

has now. His mom told me that. LOL

Dont know if they will have Kids but they have a huge Dog.

I told my Nephew they look good together.

Like the Couples you see on TV Stars on the Red Carpet.
