He has lots of book smarts, but doesn't apply it. He knows everything, but he doesn't have the sense God gave a turkey. The wise man has knowledge, and the ability to apply it. He's got sense. View Profile History	Smart Man and a Wise Man Posted : 22 Jul, 2011 02:34 PM A Smart knows that 2 + 2 = 4. A WISE Man knows WHY they Equal 4. Knowledge is the "Brick and Mortar" used to build with. Sagacity (Wisdom) is knowing just how to use those "Bricks and Mortar". The quality of being discerning, sound in judgment, and farsighted is Wisdom. Able to name every Capitol for every state is Smart. Nothing Wrong with being Smart (our President is Smart). But being Wise is where you want to be (which our Prez seems to be lacking).
