I also wondered if there was something physically unappealing. Everyone has different tastes. I've been told by many people that I'm attractive and look young. I just was trying to figure out what the issue may be. When I was younger ( and married), men always hit on me. I guess I need to be patient and wait on The Lord. There is a christian singles goup in town and I have been attending. I am not going because I expect something to happen. I am going because it is not the most natural thing for me to do. I wouldn't say that I have a fear of going out to events, that would be even worse, why? because fear cripples our options in life. I go because I have been too inactive, so the right behavior is to GET ACTIVE. My advice, act on your fears, act against those limitations you know you have, that we all have, with options available to you. Don't like concerts, go to a concert, hate talking in front of a crowd, take a public speaking class, worried about getting mugged, learn Karate. bless you, we have all been there, michael Post Reply

I think the best thing to do is to get out and find a group somewhere that does things. Guys aren't very subtle, so you may have to be blunt.
