Separated men

I do not think men Christians should

be on a dating site before they get divorced.

This is a Red flag to me.

I had a guy Wink at me, and he said he wanted

a Talk/ email buddy.

Well, this is a dating site.

I am here to communicate with a man free to date.

Any comments on this?

This comes up from time to time. We can't keep them from this site, but you can simply tell them that you are not interested in communicating with someone who is seperated. Even if all they want is a friend, it is too dangerous to form a friendship.

Separated is still married, no matter what the circumstances.

Stick to your guns and don't get involved with them, even as a friend. I've had the same experience here.

True, they are still married, but I look at this as more than a dating site, but as a way to make friends, pray for people, fellowship and it has excellent bible discussion forum.

It depends on their motives, I am surprised that so many christians are narrow minded to only think of this site for dating.I don't think their is anything wrong with encouraging, edifying and praying for our brothers and sisters in Christ.

I realize some peoples motives are different, but maybe you could encourage and pray for the reconciliation of this persons marriage.

G-d Bless

angelforlove,

Please don't think I was referring to you as narrow-minded because you brought this question up. Maybe, I worded it wrong, I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

The reason I said this, is because I have tried to contact men and they don't reply when really I just want to have a conversation or discuss the word.

Do they always think your interested in just a relationship?

My Profile states what I want and reason I am on here.

Not for a Pen/pal or someone to talk too.

I have friends in my City and other states.lol

I do pray for people I come in contact with.

When I contact a man he usually answers, even

if he is not really interest, mostly because of the

distance he lives away from me.lol

I do not get on date sites just to talk for email buddy to a man.

So, Yes...that was kind of mean talking about me being

narrow minded.

I agree. If you are not separated, not divorced you should not be here.

As a "Separated Woman" , I can speak to the reasons why I am on the site.

My "can't-be-my-ex-soon-enough" husband and I have not lived in the same residence for 16 months now and our marriage has really been over longer than that. Our divorce papers are filled out and waiting to go to the judge as soon as a For Sale sign goes in the yard of our house. I live in the house because the mortgage was in my name and I am no fool. Our realtor has looked at the house and gave us a punch list of things that HAD to be done for the house to even have a chance of getting looked at in todays market.

I am active in my church and would not have considered looking into a site like this had the older wiser women in the Church not told me time and time again that my marriage was over in God's eyes when my husband constantly looked at porn on the internet several years ago and had to have a "happy towel" with him.

That's why I'm on here. I will not be in another relationship that doesn't start with God first and figure it will probably take a long time.

My husband goes to NA and AA meetings and dinners and parties with all kinds of single females and has for years. Even Joy Behar says that is about the only place to meet single men.

I don't feel guilty. I have yet to meet anyone face to face or even talk on the phone. My profile says I'm in the process of getting a divorce. If I had lot's of money, I'd just sue him for the divorce, but I need insurance until the end of the year and Once everything is fixed in the house, I'm going to try and buy his part using the recession price and stay in the house for a few years so I don't lose $35,000 in equity.

Yes, I am being 2-faced to him. I don't feel guilty about that either. He vowed sickness and health. I got meningitis and he bailed.

I'll step off the soapbox now. I'm just saying, might not want to judge, leave that to God.

Actually we are to judge, and we are to lovingly admonish. Albeit I don't know alot about you, but I do know enough about God's Word to not see an iota of justification for a divorce, according to His Word.

Consider this; whatever you fail to do or not do accordiing to the Lord your God, a man after God's own heart will see, and idk about other men, but I always look for what a woman contributed to make the marriage not work cause it always takes two.

You know I read it again I realize I may be coming off harshley, and for that I apologize. i am very sorry for your situation, and hve been in similar situation, but please becareful sister, even if you are justified god wants holiness out of us, and it is so hard to choose that, but it is worth it, because evn though you may sow tears, you will reap joy in due season...be blessed, and I will be praying for you and your husband :)

Although most people feel that I have every reason in the world to get a divorce, I took my vows "UNTIL DEATH". I have told my husband that I realize that we both have made mistakes and know that neither of us are as "in love" as the day we were married, BUT, I feel strongly that we both need to forgive each other, learn from our mistakes and start building our trust and love back even stronger.

He is the one insisting on getting a divorce (even though he wants to call me every day), he still says he wants to get a divorce.

My friend, the Bible says when the husband decides to give me my walking papers it is ok, right?
