I am speechless. i guess my parents taught me to have respect for women. i am concerned about some post showing disrespect to women's feelings. I was taught not to demean women. It was my upbringing that makes me oppose some of the other post. I am disturbed, yes, some women need to be in the center of attention because they need God to heal them. When we are insenstive about someones feelings are we really doing God's work???????????? I understand that some women have got in trouble for their sex talk too. It is how it is said, the damage is done. Now how is it going to be fixed??????? Post Reply

I have attacked a "attitude" prevalent in the modern American woman which is never discussed, rather it is redirected with everything from sexual abuse to hating women. This is because many women do not want to discuss this Biblically; it would mean changing their attitudes and actions which they are unwilling to do, so they redirect. Most of the women I know in this country have been sold a lie; altough I know a few happily married ones who haven't bought into it. Lets put this into specifics : Could you see me married to ET or Bahira?.... ...Why not? Do I need to say any more? Post Reply

Having read both "Wild at Heart" and "Captivating," I think many young girls have a need to be given attention especially by their fathers. They need to be told and shown that they are beautiful. When this doesn't materialize, it can cause a spiritual wound in which a woman later in life feels a craving for attention if she doesn't let God heal that wound. I want to clarify that this does not mean all women are like that and anyone (male or female) can cause others irritation if they need to be the center of attention all the time. Post Reply

Eph 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]." Telling women how bad they are, and all the bad stuff they do isn't going to straighten any of them out, you should be praying day and night, and maybe try to look for a wife if that's what you want. :/ The things you say are just plain hurtful, and because I'm a woman I'm going to look at what you wrote and go.."Gee, he thinks that about ALL women, including myself, because I'm a woman." And it's saddening. Yet you continue with absolutely no remorse for the people you could be hurting. What if I generalized that badly about men all the time on the forum, talking about what bad leaders they make and how none of them are doing right, and most modern men don't know how to treat women... It'd upset you, right? Just try to think about how much it'd bother you just for a split second. Post Reply

I am disappointed that this whole thing happened. We as christians need to be on guard so we do not hurt damaged people. We must be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Are not woman suppose to submit to men? Myself I think that they should. However men need to LEAD, and if no is following you then your just going for a walk. Yeah woman submit to men, but men love your wifes as Christ loved the Church. If we stand up and do this then submission is a luxry and a thing of beauty. Much like fearing the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord; imgaine a a id that loves his father and looks forward to running into his arms and being swirled around - however if they have done something wrong they will be hesitant because they are aware of their actions and that will be consequences. It was asked on another thread what do you think of a woman that can't cook? Not much. Was the strong sentiment on it. Myself yeah I would be prefer and I guess expect a lady to be able to cook. However MEN what are we doing to prepare ourselves for our wifes; to learn to love and cherish them for ever after? For instances most woman like to dance; have you learnt to dance? I would suggest that you should learn in order to worship the Lord! Also I agree with the sentiment of independance amongst woman. Two become one not two become 2x.5. However do appreciate that there were many valid sentiments that gave rise to this movement in the first place. But yes woman need to give themselves to men AND men need to give themselves to woman as described above in order to worship God. Post Reply

"Submit to your husband." Yes, women are supposed to be submissive, and men are supposed to be submissive to the Lord. Things are pretty messed up. Post Reply
