Do you think having a type limits our potential in meeting and forging relationships?

I started thinking about this recently. How ingrained is a type in us have you ever laid down your type Chevy?

I do have a type that I am initially attracted to, but I find as I get know someone they that's when they become beautiful. Some of the most beautiful ladies I have meet haven't been my type.

100% agree!!!

the type can be something like a fairy-tale prince/princess I know I might feel attracted to, but whom I would not marry anyway :) After getting to know someone, they become more and more appealing (or less...) no matter how far/close to the 'ideal' they originally seemed to be.

But to answer the question - yes, I think stating what your type can become a limiting factor... Depends on you - do you decide to ignore just anyone who does not look like your prince charming? Or you give them a chance? And, will they have courage to write you a message after they've read they don't exactly match with your ideal? couldn't tell :)

In my adult dating life, I have discovered that the type of men I've been attracted to changed with the different phases I've been in life-of course my core expectations remained the same. One can't help what their preference is and its not a crime. However, there should ALWAYS be room for a little flexibility. We all need to give a little to gain a little/a lot.
