Admin	talking to non-native speakers / foreign girls Posted : 6 Jun, 2011 12:51 AM Ok guys, Tinyfrog inspired me to ask you about your views on getting to know/chatting with girls who are non-native speakers of English (whether they live in your country or not). It isn't so much about the distance and possibility to meet. I mean it just language-wise. Do you find it annoying when foreign girls approach you on this site? (I am not talking about scammers). Do their language skills have anything to do with it? Would you talk to a girl, exchange your views, share your faith, whatever, or you just say 'not interested'? And, the last thing, does it make any difference if said girl comes from Europe (say, like myself) or a country somewhere in Africa or Asia? Will appreciate your input m. Post Reply

View Profile History	talking to non-native speakers / foreign girls Posted : 6 Jun, 2011 02:54 PM Whether it's declining intelligence generally, mobile phone messaging or otherwise, I sometimes find it difficult to understand written messages from UK girls! I do sometimes get messages from, erm, non-UK women (or at least, ones whom English doesn't seem to be their first language) and they're usually pretty much intelligible - though I do get the nagging feeling that they're trying to convey something that I'm not picking up on. I wouldn't be put off by a girl who didn't have English as their first language; it's distance that puts me off. That said, girls do seem to want to 'chat' for an awful long time (to me) before they commit to meeting up, and I find that annoying. I'd rather just send a handful of messages to establish if there's any obvious warning signs and then do the rest face-to-face because you learn so much more about somebody by observing and listening to them than you do text on a page. How did you meet? What do you think about Ukrainian women? What were the good and bad about being married to a Ukrainian women? I find guys equally resistant to the thought of meeting someone in real life. I guess it's way easier to pretend you're someone you'd like to be when you're hiding behind a sheet of paper/an email/screen, isn't it? eh intelligibility... As long as we get to communicate and understand each other, that is all that matters. Problems will arise if we both speak completely different languages. So to answer your question, I will never (and I have never) put off someone just because they cannot speak good English. Post Reply
