In the same way that chicks still like guys to open the door for them, I think it's still a blow to a man's masculinity if a woman becomes a provider and he has to stay at home, wondering how in the world to produce milk from his skinny teats. If my wife wants to work, I guess that's fine. I don't think I'm going to marry somebody if it involves squelching her dreams, but, all practical issues aside, I really would prefer to have a wife who is a homemaker and tends to the children. Posted : 3 Jun, 2011 10:24 AM I'd rather have a lady that would be a stay-at-home mom for the early years of a child's life but that could gradually be able to work more. Sadly and frankly on the more practical and realistic side I believe that is increasingly difficult to do. A family just really isn't able to make it on average with only one income. Unless someone is getting paid a whole lot of money. Care is often having to be decided in terms of expenses. The best I could hope for is a lady who would have nurturing and caring for the family as her top priority in her heart and have a situation that would allow her to work minimally at best. Post Reply
