I can certainly be busy enough that it takes a day or two for me to respond (no internet or phone access at some workplaces), but more than three days isn't really excusable unless you're trekking in the Himalayas... I had a steady girlfriend once who, once she finally spoke with me again, was crying, afraid that she had done something wrong because I hadn't called her in over a week. It was just such a crazy week that I had forgotten about everything except work and sleep. When she told me how long it'd been since we spoke, I was totally surprised. On the other hand, that is a very rare situation. I've totally blown off chicks before. Post Reply

I feel passionate about this "I'm too busy" stuff. If a man loves you, a day shouldn't go by without y'all communicating with one another. Point blank period. If he can make time to use the toilet, eat a sandwich or put his head on the pillow, he can at least call and say Hi. We as Christians are not called to be busy, but productive/fruitful. I don't think God would approve of someone who is so into work or whatever, that they forget about their loved one. I do understand emergencies pop up EVERY NOW AND AGAIN, and things do happen, but it shouldn't be a lifestyle. He shouldn't be fine with not communicating with you daily. The twin towers fell in a day. People have accidents in a day, tornadoes come and go in a day, promotions come in a day, special moments happen every day. In my humble opinion, y'all should be talking EVERY DAY!:glow: Post Reply

On one hand a person can be really busy and on the other the "to busy" lie is just a way to get rid of someone. I feel the same as you holyghostgirl, there is time somewhere and somehow. The reason that I asked this question is because, getting mixed signals. On one hand if I initiate a call and leave a message or text - I get a response within a few hours or few days. However, if I wait for a call then it's a week or so. My problem is I don't have the time or the desire to play games. Thanks again! Post Reply
