If not, then I'll eventually end up in Heaven. Either way, it doesn't matter. The Bible says that God will "come like a thief in the night." 1 Thes. 5:2 and "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only." Matt 24:36 So for people to say that they know when Jesus is coming back, is like saying they are God themselves and are above the Bible. Post Reply

It is possible he may make an appearance on that day? I have a problem with anyone putting a date on things. There is a lot of false prophecy and false teaching going on, and the purpose is to lead people astray and in to deception. The Pastor of the church predicted Christ coming back again.... years ago. Don't remember the date. He was wrong then, too. They are deluded into thinking they have figured out WHEN the Bible says Jesus is coming back. It is sad, and gives the rest of us a bad name. Post Reply

You can't see them well cuz it's dark. If you do look at them, they'll be still or hide or something because they don't want to be seen. You probably aren't looking at them because you're sleeping, not paying attention, absorbed in a world of REM cycles. I think that the metaphor makes it perfectly clear that we won't be predicting the date of the second coming. It'll be like waking up to suddenly find out that your car is gone. Or, in this case, that Christ is back. Or that you've been raptured. Whatever. I don't know the order entirely, and I think it's a big discussion, but the bottom line is probably that as long as we place exact dates for the return of the messiah, he ain't coming. That doesn't mean we should ignore the signs that these may well be the end times. We should keep a look out, sure. But I ain't going to blow my savings because the world is ending in a week. If the Son doesn't know when, why would the Lord reveal that to someone else. Now I do believe the Lord gives ppl prophecies. I know this for a fact, but this is false! And if He was coming back on the 21st, I guess I'm in deep trouble, because He promised He would do something for me....on the 22nd!:glow: Post Reply

I know one of the prophecies is about the word being preached in every nation of the world. Have we done that yet? I know TBN and a few other stations have gone all over the world with their satellites, but have we reached EVERY SINGLE nation yet? Idk. If we haven't though, I can assure you, Yeshua won't be coming back before that moment. God's word never returns void, and He's not a man that He should lie. Amen. I'm just sayin. Post Reply

Wycliffe is trying to get the Bible in the written language of every people sector. So those that do not have a written language will end up with a written language, if possible.
