And it, like, takes them like SO long to like finish one, you know, like a sentence? And they like end every, you know, every sentence with, like, a question mark? Like you know? AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I seriously thought I was going to scream when this "like, um, you know" girl was talking today. I managed to keep my calm, though, and didn't even have to leave the room. I was quite proud of myself! (Am I the only one who finds that speaking style annoying? No offense intended to any of you who do speak that way!) Post Reply

Posted : 11 May, 2011 09:01 PM Thanks to one of my professors here at the law school who is a great Christian mentor who suggested this idea to me I have found that stress is a lot more manageable. A lot of times when I am stressed I like go through my Bible and read all the uplifting and inspirational verses I have highlighted in a certain color. After 30 minutes or so of doing this it is like nothing can keep me down! I find that a lot of times, maybe even all of the time when I am stressed, disheartened, etc. it is the result not of what outside force has caused me trouble that day but the result of how I react and view that hardship. Often times I am not thinking Biblically, I have lost my perspective and taken my eyes off of God and instead choose to focus on the trouble at hand. We should not nor cannot forget the promises of God especially during the times we need them the most! Post Reply

Posted : 13 Sep, 2011 01:02 PM i would really like to thank GOD for inspiring You to put this thread here as i am fittin to unload. i am so freaked out,because we got this preacher,and He comes all talking about How He is just gonna" Dedicate every last moment of His life to OUr lil country church,"then the joker turns around and marry's this LAdy ( attender,not member) of the church, dont get me wrong She is a FOX!!!,but doesnt seem that nice,and has seriously infringed upon access to Him as She will not let anyone contact Him without going thru Her..then the poor fella gets diagnosed with cancer ( truly my heart is sympathetic and i am sorrowed for His plight ) but now He can't maintain the Pastoral position because A. He is sick with the chemo,B,His inhospitable wife.Why will He not just resign? ugh...and now the Deacon ( we only got one cuz noone else is willing )': is on vacation for a month or,maybe longer???this is totally understandable though Cause He and His wife ROCK!! they do sooo much for the church,they deserve any and all breaks they need/desire.... Our music leader/childrens ministry's LAdy has vacated as SHe needs to take care of HEr ill parent,again :(understandable,and greatly sorrowed for Her plight also )':Which leaves GOD Almighty,Myself,my physically/mentally challenged Sister,and a 15 yr old girl that volunteered to be the lead vocalist,and a kind elderly Lady from another church stepped up to handle one of the childrens ministry's to run/operate the entire Church...so my true rant is,"WHY WILL NOONE ELSE IN THE CHURCH STEP UP TO HELP?????ALL THEY DO IS COMPLAIN! COMPLAIN,COMPLAIN,the music isnt good enuff,the message was to short/to long...the Sanctuary was to hot/to cold.. the floors not vaccumned good enuff,bathrooms not clean enuff,kitchen not clean enuff.children to noisey..not enuff this,to much that... WOW!!!! thank You! i feel alot better :yay: Post Reply
