Have you ever heard a Gal say when talking about her ex-husband :

"Oh he is a great father, but a terrible husband"

I think to myself ; "How can that be possible?".....then I have other thoughts....hahaha.

Hi Wise :)

2spar: your response to my post is probably right...but I was answering the topic question. That may be the reason a woman would say that about her "ex"--I know, it's a big, vicious circle.

Gals, ol' Twosparrows has a point on this one!

but to answer the quiestion: some men are "good" fathers ie my ex was before he got sick a good dad: playfull, patience, loving with his kids, and always ready to play: but he was always even through I loved him, a lousy husband, ie didn't care if kid did homework or not, what kid ate, "suger and fat" how dressed, "not right for weather" All he was willing to do was play with our daughter. He also insisted I work, but took almost all my money. When our daughter was little, i would come home to a kid who had not been changed all day, sucking bottle from that morning, so it IS possible. What i'm wondering is WHY I loved him?! go figure.

Yes, it seems to be easier to love a 'Mary' than a 'Martha', sounds like your husband was a 'Mary'. But dog gone it, somebody has to change diapers and cook dinner!... lol. But with the way things turned out, it sounds like things happened just right. I would guess your daughter has great memories of her Dad and knows she was loved by her Daddy, maybe he had to get in all he could while he had a chance.

Just thinking aloud, I apologize if I ventured onto holy ground.

To my younger friends here. I do believe if you put the armor of Christ on todays media will not effect you. you can have the mind of Christ and remove femminist ideas.

Some of the wise cracks that were said lacked good taste.

It is possible. But one of my favourite quotes, and it deals with this topic, says:

The greatest gift a father can give his children is to love their mother (Unknown)
