Au Naturale?

The last guy I was seriously dating didn't say anything until about 5 months in. He had come to pick me up to go out and I was in the bathroom getting ready to put on eyeshadow and he said, "I wish you wouldn't".

"Huh"? I says. He said he loved my face without make-up, that it to him it was a declaration of not being happy with ones appearance to change it and was very fake and misleading. I was like, "Well, dang!"

While I was out yesterday, I heard a random conversation by strangers where a guy said something similar and it reminded me of that time. It made me want to take a poll and see if the CDFF guys had like-minded thoughts. Any of you feel the opposite way? Doesn't matter?

I don't like when women use too much makeup. I prefer nothing or almost nothing.

For me it feels "fake". A little bit is fine but a lot of women paint their eyebrows on(!) and look like a doll because of all the makeup. Please don't girls! Try to be as natural as possible and use makeup when it's necessary. That's what I think

Yes, apparently less is more. I just want to say that for girls (like myself) who've been wearing makeup since the time they could get away with it...ten years later, your skin is not the same anymore, and you gotta wear a little bit. Makeup is bad for your skin. I try to get maybelline as its a bit better on your skin then others. But still, once you have worn makeup for many years, to take it off completely would be a mistake, as you'd look very washed out.

My advice for women, like myself, is to start wearing a little less everyday, and become more comfortable with the way you really are slowly.

I don't think men like to be shocked. I've heard boys complain that when their girlfriend's "face" came off on the pillow they were horrified. :zzzz: So, I guess its tricky, because makeup does enhance your physical features, and if you've worn it too much your skin has lost its freshness and you have to wear a little bit. But, I'd say, and I'm telling myself this here... if you have any vanity in you, don't wear too much foundation. Be natural. But don't switch from total makeover to nothing in one day, lest you freak the origin of species out.

All that to say, I like guys who like natural girls. God bless you!

I guess the trick is to make it look like it's you, just better. Most people don't believe me when I say that I'm wearing make up but you have to cover up those circles under your eyes from pulling an all nighter!
