THE WORDS OF THE LORD: 2 Samuel 12:7-9 7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. 9 Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. Post Reply

Posted : 15 Feb, 2026 12:10 AM David sins were many, he slept with someone else’s wife and impregnated her. Then to cover his tracks tried to get the husband to sleep with her. When that failed he decided to have him killed. I’ve wondered over the years if Bathsheba had a say in the matter. We know throughout history men of power would see a woman they liked & have them brought to them…:-) Post Reply

Posted : 15 Feb, 2026 03:50 AM Was it by chance that Bathsheba was bathing where the king could see her? Had she seen the king walk about the palace roof before? Is Bathsheba completely innocent? 2 Samuel 11:2 One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful. (2 Samuel 11:2) What of Leviticus 20:10 ? Yet both are spared. Post Reply
