I'm 42 years old... and my daughter is 23 years old... and it doesn't set well with me to find that some of the men on here that are interested in me... show on their profiles that they could also be interested in my "CHILDS" age... :excited: Is there not a moral/ethitical appropriate age that a person should stand on... so their not crossing the child/adult lines... no matter how old we get? :angel: Post Reply

Mine here: Not every one that drinks gets drunk. Just as not every one that spends time alone with woman commits fornication, just as not everyone who is on the internet views pornography, just as not everyone who eats is not a glutton. Don't you see the fallacy in this stance?" Mine here: the person you are speaking of in your example obviously has a drinking problem and I wouldn't recommend that person drink at all. But that's not the case with every individual. Yours here again: For if I truly loved my neighbor, would I not step in earlier? Would I have not invited him out of the bar and into Mass, or to enjoy a ginger ale or a game of golf?" Mine here: So do you go to the bars and do just that? If so, praise the LORD. Posted : 5 Jul, 2009 06:56 AM dear folks, ya know there are enuff sins out there for us to have to worry about without makin up ones that GOD didnt say were sin.. a normal person having a drink is not a sin.. yet a person being a drunkard is. a person eating food is not in sin untill they become a glutton.. the verses below tell us of who should not have a drink..and the reason why they shouldnt have wine or strong drink and also tell us who should be given a strong drink and who should be given wine.. and im thinkin these two are like a one time thing as the dying man and a man in much misery.. are said to give them a drink.. now heres a word of caution to everyone if you go tellin someone theyre in sin and theyre not and they figure it out or already happen to know the difference you probably will turn them against you and all christians. and you dont want that on you now do ya? proverbs 31:4-7 4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, Nor for princes intoxicating drink; 5 Lest they drink and forget the law, And pervert the justice of all the afflicted. 6 Give strong drink to him who is perishing, And wine to those who are bitter of heart. 7 Let him drink and forget his poverty, And remember his misery no more. ole cattle Post Reply

As far as the use of the word pervert, I don�t limit it with just there. I�ve told people on here before that I was a pansexual, and know that makes me a pervert for having done that and any time after if I lust for another person, even if it is a man. I don�t want you feeling as though I can cast a stone without breaking my own glass house when I feel the same way about myself. I do think that marriage was created through sex and the two are not absent from one another, but one is formal and the other is not. I am not saying that marriage is bad or that it can erase wrongs. I�m saying that one should wait until marrying age before having sex with anyone in marriage. If done out of order, it should be honored through marriage immediately, just as Dinah�s rapist attempted to find grace in her family�s eyes. Also, I want to say that this conversation has really been causing me sickness. I was upset that Christians could except that the Bible speaks nothing on pedophilia when the Word is the source of all morality, and abhorrence of bad content is nothing we come up with on our own and still yet match science. In order to keep from growing worse, I had to take a break yesterday and prayed throughout the day, though I was praying wrongly, praying that you could see what I see rather than for all of us to see what the Bible truly states. The day didn�t help and I slept only three hours last night, becoming ill in the morning. Through that weakness, I thought about staying in bed rather than go to our fellowship. Thank God He pushed me out of bed and showed me to scriptures where I should have looked before, and also allowed me the fellowship with a wiser and much humbler servant, who I didn�t understand until after studying up these verses. The verses were concerning Tamar and Shelah, when Judah said to wait to marry him until he was grown. If I�m understanding right, it was about twenty-two years that passed and with four births to take up three years. If they were average length births, Shelah would have been about 19? If that�s so, then perhaps eighteen really is the age of reigning as when the eight-year olds seemed to rule twice, and therefore I owe you and loveandgrace apologies. I am so sorry for the consistent arrogance and wish that I could erase all statements of �twenty� so no Christians will wonder such lies. There is no conscription for or against age in the Bible. The culture(s) in the Bible are very disimilar to ours. My personal take on it is that you need to follow your conscience. For you, for whatever reason, age seems to be a problem. There are cultures in the world where age is not an issue. What would you do if God called you to be with someone younger? or older? We do not choose when and where we are born. I think that if you find a nice guy and he is a Godly man you should look at his soul, not at the physical age of the shell that is housing it.
