Friend I first need to apologize for interfering with mans' topics. It has been obvious that i'm interested in your openions, likewise with questions that you have to ask, I always find myself having something to say
Weither be i'm wrong or right in my replies, when sharing your view on the posted question,
I know i'll have something to take with...
I'll post my view in a different forum so I don't interfere with what guys have to say, since the question was not meant for ladies (hope you don't mind me writing back on your recent question)
Is divorce of Christ or Anti-christ?
In my little mind divorce is surely of anti-christ.
As always I may qoate passages that may seem erelevent, hope it will all come together to the point i'm trying to raise.
In Genesis when God created man He said "LET US make man in our own image" (please bear in mind that He was in unity with someone)
In Genesis 11 (the passage about those who built a tower to heaven) in verse 1, "Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. 3, They said to one onother "come let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly" 4, Come let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in heavens...." 5, But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. 6, And the Lord said "Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do, now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them."
One last more to qoate
Ecclesiastes 4: 9 (the passage about the value of a friend)
Verse 1, "Two are better than one.... 10, For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.... 11,...Again if two lie down together, they will keep warm,.... 12, Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.
If anyone knows better about the power of unity, its the devil himself. For this very reason he was cast down with the multitude of angels which are demons today. Hense he does anything & everything to cause divorce in families. he knows that when devided, we won't be able to stand against him.
Hebrews 3:13 (passage about the power of unity)
....but exhort/encourage one another daily, while it is called today, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin."
When devided our sinfull hearts are our worst threat, for deceiption easly takes place, unlike if there was this other part with a sober mind to help the other part.
And again there's no church without family. We are parts of Christ' body through families.
Actually, we who face much tribulation are the blessed ones not those who have life easy. I have come to realise the same as Peter and John and what tribulation produces in our lives when God is at our center..
I had a revelation a while ago. Thinking how the american church desires to be free from the great tribulation of Revelation. I wounder if those believers who go through are really receiving a privilage.
I guess you can see I am not a pretrib.
What if we who go through great tribulation are receivin a gift form God to see God in a way that no others will?
What if the tribulation you are going through right now is the gift of God to you? It is....
You see those with a big house and fancy car and live life without trouble are missing out on the real deal of faith.
Because Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not yet seen.
Without faith it is impossible to please God because we must believe that He is and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Dear one it has been a long session indeed AND you've been very patient with me till now. Yes friend I still have a question that you haven't answered that has crossed my mind as chatting. My question is still based on our opening passage , its a combination of two different chapters.
The first one is:
1 Corinth 7:13-14
"And a woman who has a husbend who does not believe, if willing to live with her, let her not divorce him.
14, For the inbelieving husbend is santified through the believing wife.
The other passage is:
1 Corinth 10:18-21
18, "..... Are not those who eat of the sacrifice partakers of the altar?" 19, what am I saying then? That an idol is anything? Or what is offered to idols is anything? 20, Rather that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demonds and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demonds. 21, You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demonds; you cannot partake of the Lord's table and of the demonds."
Help me understand this please friend:
Example. Let say that i'm married to my husband and we both are lost souls when marrying. Our marriege is rooted in evil altars through the sharing of goats/caws blood when sealing this covernent. Even our kids when born are introduced to these altars since we don't know any better.
With time you find that I the wife get saved by receiving Christ Jesus as my personal savior And my husbend doesn't really mind me fellowshiping with other Christians. I now share in Jesus' blood by partaking in the holy communion in the church, right?
As time passes by my husband instructs me as he did in the former days before I got saved,
He instructs me to come partake in our family form of worship, were the goats will be slotered with words of agreement being spoken and sealed with the goats blood, as we usually did before.
Since there's submission to be persued by the wife as God's principles, won't she be compromising God for the sake of keeping the husband whose the threat to her relationship with God? Or even be won back to evil since both of these different kingdoms have one thing incommon, that is soul winning & the husband doesn't know that he's a tool used by the evil one, he only practices the usual way of he's family's life style.
How to go about applying the above two passages for the wife?
Thank you so much again for the answer to my main question "the yes and yes" makes perfect sense to me.
With John & Peter & their tribulations, you really are starting onother subject that's very interesting to me. Maybe we should have our chatt next time about them. At times its as if you can read my mind, i'm very interested in learning about John. This one time I gave my self a personal assignment to investigate/seach more about John's life. Not really clue'd up about him,
BUT since I'm a jumpy servant who never sticks to one chapter at the time, found my self deviating from that seach, reading any other passage that trigured my interest when opening my bible.
Thank you for mentioning he's chapter, i'm reminded of my bible study about John.
Letthismind you are a blessing my friend, I appreciate you And have bothered you more than I expected
