I'm sure many ppl were thrilled, but it was something deeper for me. The Lord gave me that prophecy some time back during my worship/devotional time, and I wrote it down, and kind of let it go.
He said that ppl would be celebrating and gave me the headline that would be in one of the newspapers.
I had to go back and dig through a load of notebooks, (cause I'm a writer...lol), and find the prophecy He gave me concerning Osama, and BAM! I found it.
I looked at the date that He gave it to me, and it said, 5/1/10. That was an exact year to the date of his death 5/1/11. I WAS BLOWN AWAY!
Has the Lord ever given you a prophecy or just a simple word, large or small, and you saw it come to pass just the way He said it would?

I wasn't attempting to "exonerate' myself. Perhaps my last sentence was in anger or frustration, so I apologize in speaking angrily. You speak boldly, but it doesn't mean you're right about everything you say, or that you're any better of a person for saying it. To be blunt, you're being mean or extra tough on people for some reason, not sure why. There's no need for it.
You called HolyGhostGirl your sister, and said you are her brother. Well, IOnlyDateCheerleaders is your brother, right? Why not speak to him like he is.
Now that I think of it, your bursting into the conversation, without andy standing, to accuse me of being cold, rude and offensive seems to be more of a sin than anything IDateOnlyCheerleaders and I were about to discuss?

As for the topic, I read an interesting report that Osama bin Laden is more than likely dead, and has been dead for many years of a kidney disease. The bin Laden we saw on video at the end of 2001 had a different nose and a gold ring, which is not acceptable to bin Laden's religion. Interesting evidence for certain...
BTW, Spirit, I'd love to discuss your exigesis concerning that most dreams, prophecies, visions are not from God... and that Jesus warned against them... let's chat about that.
Paul said I desire you all to prophecy. And Jesus explained how to discern from a false prophet by his "fruit"... and the Bible says that old men shall have dreams, etc. I can show more examples that we can discuss after these.

About Osama, there are several videos already out on youtube showing two photos side by side, identical except in the "dead obama" there appears to be obvious photoshopping. I do not recall the title of the particular video I saw, but it's flashpage showed the two pictures side by side.
About dreams and visions, I am aware of the prophecy of Joel, and I believe Peter referred to that propechy, and its fulfillment in the beginning of the book of Acts.
I would never say that all dreams and visions are of the wrong source, as clearly God can operate in these ways. I only say that the gifts of the spirit can be mimicked and faked, and often are, sometimes by carnality with knowledge of faking them, sometimes by spiritual delusion. The fruits of the spirit are a different thing.
The proof is in the pudding, just by reading or visiting or listening to the many prophetic websites and videos where many put out their dreams and visions, so often promoting confused eschatology or at least heterodoxy among themselves; so, it becomes apparent that they can not all be right, and can not all be of the Spirit of God.
What ends up happening here is more division in the body, and a charge of heretic-false prophet against those whose dreams and visions do not line up with our own theology. These things appear to be spiritual yet in fact are distilled carnally according to our own interpretation of the letter of scripture.
About prophecy, Paul did exhort coventing of the prophetic gift, and my understanding of that gift is not that it is exclusive to a foretelling of future events; in fact, a prophetic gift is to bring spiritual truth to those who cannot perceive it. The prophet puts the brakes on carnal religion and delusional spirituality within a local gathering of the body of believers. Sometimes the prophetic gift also pertains to a foretelling of future events.
Again I apologize for my offense. My comment to IOnlyDateCheerleaders was rude and arrogant and reactionary.
