Okay, so I'm going to talk about the virtual pink elephant in the middle of the room...RACE RELATIONS....sort of.

Would you marry someone out of your race? Why or why not?

To spice it up a bit, would you marry someone from any race?

ie...A white man might marry an asian woman or a hispanic female, but not be opened to a black woman or a native american woman.

I mean, we are all Christians, we should love all people and be able to get along with everyone. But, we do have personal preferences as well.

Be honest!

Being that I'm mixed race, I have no issues with any race. I find myself more attracted to certain races than others, but the outside isn't as important as the inside.

When living in the Caribbean, I was friends with folks of lots of races. My closest friend was black. She is an amazing woman. Anyway, the men of our churches forbade us from any further interaction. My first thought was...great, even down here racism rears its' ugly head. However, come to find out, nobody cared about our races. It was the fact that we are different religions. So...some men got ignored...just for reasons other than I originally thought.

As for dating, sure, why not. As for marriage.....a definitive maybe. I would be held up by culture. Race isn't an issue. Culture and religion are.

Race for me was never& is not a big issue to me.it's not about what someone has & do (I.e,their body shape, what they wear, how much money that you have, the things that you purchase etc),it about he someone is in their hearts. If we look at people externally & not internally, then we are not anymore different than the people who are in the world!@Tulip,how are you buddy? Glad to hear you're liking the girls out here! :excited:

I'm not generally attracted to dark-skinned women (or men for that matter!), though there have been one or two exceptions. Shame as I've met some with lovely personalities but that's how it goes...

Few weeks ago a caucasian guy here sent an inbox message JUST asking me about "what race". I felt offended by this question, because he JUST asked me what race I was, like if I was an animal or something.

Anyway, when I told him that I have Portuguese, Spanish, Native American and African American roots that I am totally mixed race, he read my message, visited my profile one more time and never emailed me anymore. I mean, why on earth a person would like to know a girl's race to be able to be her friend?

God makes men from Red Dirt, Yellow Dirt, White Dirt, and Black Dirt. But even more interesting is how much we have in common.

The blackest black man has white bones. The whitiest white man has a black liver. The yellowest yellow man has a red heart, The reddest red man has yellow ligaments.

By weight the skin accounts for only 16% of a human body. Yet we put way to much into all of it.

Seriously.

Its like asking a Ford person would they date someone who drives a Chevy.

Guess what.. the body is just a suit of dirt for the soul. The body doesn't matter near as much as the person inside of it.

"...For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (2 Cor. 4:1618)

If we are judging, let it be by the fruits, and not the color of the bark or the color of the leaves.

Nordestina, that's a shame. I'm sorry you had to encounter this type of individual.

But you have to understand that it still exists. I know that's one of the reasons I get such slack for my posts. It aint so much what I'm sayin, but what I look like.

Don't worry about that person. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, God has that perfect man for you!
