Godslamb and Loony, you can here the truth now, straight from the horses mouth : ) As a matter of fact I am kissing that horse, but he kissed me first! I often kiss horses, some because I just like them and some because it helps them. There is a old old vaquero trick that even few horse people have heard of: When you kiss a horse on it's eyes, it calms their spirit. I have found this to be true, you just have to be careful that you don't get your teeth knocked with their head. I also have learned not to make a kissing noise when you kiss a horse, especially on the nose because that is a blind spot for a horse, the noise startles them and they jerk their head until they get used to it. All my horses are kissable! So there you have it, all you wanted to know about horse kissing! : ) Post Reply
