Au Naturale?

The last guy I was seriously dating didn't say anything until about 5 months in. He had come to pick me up to go out and I was in the bathroom getting ready to put on eyeshadow and he said, "I wish you wouldn't".

"Huh"? I says. He said he loved my face without make-up, that it to him it was a declaration of not being happy with ones appearance to change it and was very fake and misleading. I was like, "Well, dang!"

While I was out yesterday, I heard a random conversation by strangers where a guy said something similar and it reminded me of that time. It made me want to take a poll and see if the CDFF guys had like-minded thoughts. Any of you feel the opposite way? Doesn't matter?

I prefer a woman that goes natural but at the same time if she wants to wear some makeup thats fine too...just make it look natural...you know? Nothing caked on so thick that it is obvious you're wearing makeup.

Good afternoon, MrWiseGuy.

Thank you for sharing that Lady~I like the old barn expression when it comes to make-up. A coat of paint makes it perk right up!

Honestly guys, unless you have ever worn it and I doubt most of you have unless you were in drama or something, it is going to be a little obvious you are wearing some lipstick, eye liner or anything else. But I agree that it should not look like a clown.

Have any of you ever seen the cover of the tabloids when they catch one of the stars without make-up? I'm sure it would make some of you appreciate it more.

Most of us are not born with the perfect dark eyes, eyebrows or pink lips that we all like to have. And I said this before, men have encouraged women in their behavior by turning their head when a hottie walks by, or hanging (decent) pictures in their garage and 100 other things that have sent the message, that a guy likes a pretty woman. But God made man the visual one and so on it goes. We just look at man and accept his flaws~:glow:

You guys that don't like it? Are a minority from what I've experienced.

Make-up has been around since bible days and it's not a sin to use it.

Hey Babygirl,

The whole in my bucket has been plugged up with some spare bubble gum and bailin wire, topped off with duct tape. Ought to last for a century or two now.

Blessings,

Elisa

Hubbs, I'm glad you like it. I hate the bare minerals stuff. It makes me face itch like crazy. The sad thing is, I have to look very hard to find makeup I can use, since it seems like 95% of makeup is made with mineral powder now.

violakat= I have Laura Geller "balance n brighten" and I really like it. I dont think it's made with mineral powder but you can check it out online. Another brand is "make up forever" and it covers pretty naturally but smooth.(my daughter uses it)

Before Loreal True Match, Soft Sable, I coulldn't hardly find makeup in my color. There was never enough red undertone to make it look natural on me.
