Definition of SARCASM 1: a sharp and often satirical or ironic utterance designed to cut or give pain 2a : a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual By the definition of saracsm, it would be impossible for Jesus to be sarcastic. Within His character, it would be impossible for Him to intend to "cut or deliberately cause pain." "Bitter & caustic" attitudes are sinful and Jesus cannot sin. Some misinterpretation of Jesus' words and actions have taken place. Please encourage everyone to reexamine the scriptures that they believe are Jesus being sarcastic. Again, by definition IMPOSSIBLE! Ex. when Jesus called the Pharisees whitewashed tombs and a brood of vipers, that isn't sarcasm, that is metaphor and honest metaphor without hurtful intent. His intent was to enlighten for the purpose of salvation. We have to interrpret scripture by God's heart, not human heart. Merry Christmas!!! Springrose Post Reply

Posted : 25 Dec, 2010 07:40 PM Dennis and Chuck, I think that most of those on here will agree that I'm an honest up front guy...before SpringRose left her and I exchange personal emails so we could keep in touch...she has helped "counsel" me many times...she simply emailed me the other day and asked me to copy and paste this for you as it said in the original post...I have no idea where the conversation came from...just doing SpringRose a favor. I am not jumping your case or am not offended. However, somebody did tell a woman on this site that I did not believe what she was posting, when I never sent any such message to the woman and it caused me some problems.
