What is the most "redneck" thing you have ever done?

(What is the most backwards, jacked-up thing you have ever done, or seen?) It could be something as simple as jerry-rigging something to work with duck tape and bailing wire, to using a toilet as a planter (yep, I've seen 'em!)

I'm a redneck through and through and proud of it so here's a few personal examples:

One time after a big snow fall I tied a big tractor innertube to the back of my 4-wheeler and pulled my son on it.

I had a friend named Bubba and a hound named Elvis (sometimes we even used the same tree!)

My first house had wheels on it

The door latch on my old hay hauling truck broke, so I kept it tied shut with bailing wire so I wouldn't fall out

I bush hogged my pasture once and found a car

I had to duck tape a license plate to the bottom of my boat once to keep it from leaking

I had a friend who went to family reunions to pick up women

I've been cow-tippin' and snipe hunting

I rode my horse through the drive through at Sonic once because my car was out of gas

I can burp and say my name at the same time

@sav

pea-ing off the back porch looking at the stars and moon is relaxing. As for personal hygiene. If I need hot water for dishes or cleaning I heat it on the stove in a giant pot. I started taking cold showers by accident when my hot water heater went out....ohhh! ....They made me feel soooo good and 10 years younger that by the time I bought a new hot water heater I didn't want to hook it up cause I knew I would go back to hot showers.

As paul harvey would say : that's the rest of the story.

In my first apartment someone had duct taped the carpet to the floor and patched seams the same way. Not on the bottom of the carpeting, on the top.

When I bought my first house, the last owners had used a significant amount of duct tape. They duct taped the kitchen cabinet shut (I guess they had a pet that wanted in) and duct taped the bath tub to the floor (rather than caulking it), among other things. They also used Contac paper instead of wall paper in one of the bedrooms. I finally got everything unstuck, and thought all the adhesives were banished from my new house. Then I looked out the kitchen window and realized they'd also duct taped the gutters at the seams!

But I've done some rednecked things too... I had an Escort that I tied the door shut on in the winter, and then when the doors froze shut, I started climbing in through the trunk.

I have a friend who has a hot water toilet...that's the only way they were able to rig the plumbing when they added that bathroom! It's really freaky for everyone who visits his toilet for the first time.

@ Mr. 2Sparrows:ROFL:

There's been a couple times I've wanted to do that over my front porch myself but don't think the downstairs neighbors would appreciate it very much.

That's one of the many, many wonderful pleasures of living in the country.

Duck tape. I love Duck tape. That was my #1top selling item at one of the hardware stores I had. The husbands would buy duck tape and the wives would come in later on and buy Goo gone after they removed it from what ever their husbands "fixed" with it.
