question about lingeriePosted : 15 Oct, 2010 01:04 AMI had this guy friend a few years ago who told me that it's sinful for single women to wear coloured undergarments. He believed that the only appropriate choices were white and beige. His explanation for this was that a woman couldn't select coloured underthings without having impure thoughts... that a woman would only select coloured ones if she was trying to feel sexy... and that it's wrong for a single woman to have any thoughts of wanting to feel sexy. |

question about lingeriePosted : 16 Oct, 2010 07:10 AMUh, I don't have special undies for that time either...and I RARELY have any "problems". I'm sure I did when I was very young (say, 10 or 11) and just learning how to contain everything, but now I have no problems. (I even wear white pants/shorts/skirts if I feel like it!) |

question about lingeriePosted : 16 Oct, 2010 12:13 PMSilly. I think it's more like what you wear over it and if it shows or not... If you can't see it or if it's just for your own eyes then why should it be a big deal? |

question about lingeriePosted : 16 Oct, 2010 04:41 PMi used to work in a retail shop that sold a limited supply of lingerie, and boy did i ever hear it from my church friends... they would all ask if it was hard for me to work around such things and why my boss (female) would pick such outrageous costumes... i had to tell them, i am human and when i brought it up to her she asked if i wanted her to start carrying mens lingerie... (yes there is such a thing trust me) i explained to one of them who works in an office environment, well do u have a problem wishing ur wife dressed like that... i think a lot of the teasing also came from the fact that i am one of the more obviously single ones in that specific church for almost being 30 and it kinda shied me away from that group... i guess they think that by 30 you are supposed to be married and settled into life, well mine hasn't been easy... in my town i'm lucky to find a woman that is dating material to keep out of the "friend" zone long enough to express intrest without feeling like i'm rushing things... to be honest it takes me longer cuz of being picked on about being raised old fashioned... and to answer the question, if he is a "friend" why would he wanna know what's underneath?? perv, if u ask me, and NOT a friend... |

question about lingeriePosted : 17 Oct, 2010 10:49 AMBilly, in response to what you said about your church thinking you should be married by now being 30, I totally know what you mean. Around here, it seems like the Christian women are all married by 20, and if they're not they're abnormal. Some even get married right out of high school! And then if they don't start popping out babies within 1 or 2 years, there's a problem. It's ridiculous. I'm almost 26 and I am soooooo thankful that I did not get married young. The last several years, I figured the perfect window would be between 27 and 32, maybe even 34. And if I'm older than that, that's fine too. But for the last several years I made a decision that I definitely would NOT get married before 25 and that I preferred to wait until I was at least 27. So far I'm on track :) If God has a different plan, that's fine. But I think waiting until you're older to get married eliminates some of the complications. |

question about lingeriePosted : 18 Oct, 2010 12:04 PMAnd the angel saith unto me, write this down and write what you see and I wrote, "Woe to you who are the wearers of the colored undergarments. I have seen thy wickedness hanging on the racks of the lingerie stores and they are all of the colors of wickedness and an abomination to the Lord." |
