Admin	touch =) Posted : 7 May, 2010 01:35 AM In Dr. Gary Chapman's book, "The 5 Love Languages," he identifies 5 different ways in which we express love to each other: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch. Mine is Physical Touch with Words of Affirmation being a close second. What's yours? (If you don't already know what yours is, you can do a search for something such as "love languages test" to come up w/ an assessment to take.) Post Reply

I thought that touch was the bottom, with quality time being at the top. I just didn't see the big deal about touch. What could possibly be so special about holding hands, hugging, kissing, cuddling, etc. Now, though, quality time is still at the very top, but physical touch has moved way up into second place (but nearly even with first place). What made the difference? Dating for the first time. Holding hands and hugging for the first time. Realizing how secure I felt when we were holding hands or hugging. Being surprised to discover that I actually LIKED it. Realizing that I have to be careful because apparently even that little bit of physical touch makes me start to lose all sense of logic! Know what I miss most about being in a dating relationship? First of all, I miss the companionship and quality time. Second of all, I miss the physical touch. Totally not what I expected. Post Reply
