The End of Fake

Ok, so I am truly getting bored of the forums here and it's dawned on me why:

A lot of people here are really fake.

I see a lot of people (especially guys) trying to impress everyone (especially women) with their (wisdom.)

A lot of posts here read like a pastor preaching a sermon and it's boring.

Guys, especially those who have been on here quite a while, you will not attract a lady by posting bland, "sheeple" remarks that don't show your confidence, competence, and testosterone.

I mean really. Either ask a question or don't.

Either answer a question with what you perceive to be the truth and give it a well thought out answer at that. Please don't bore us with your parroting of what you pastor or sunday school teacher said the week before.

If you must quote anything, please quote a scholar.

Maybe all of my, well I guess, ranting leads me to this:

Those who see themselves as wise in their own eyes are foolish and guys desperately trying to find a date on the internet are a blight on the earth.

I'm not trying to be rude but really...

Hey Dave, :waving:

If you are aware that you can come across as a "know it all" and obviously it offends people, why don't you choose your words more carefully? I understand having to communicate through a keyboard makes it harder because no one can hear voice deflections and such, but effective communication is still possible and recommended; you just have to weigh your words more carefully.

Good luck in your search,

T

Dave,

Your ambiguity simply promulgates your willingness to instigate provocation while failing to excogitate you own lack of prudence. Your locution is unconscionable and your predilection toward nescience causes me to believe you require acmonishment but I doubt you would appreciate the exertion of effort on my part.

I thought about posting this as a new thread, but after watching enron: the smartest guys in the room and the subject of this thread, i think it should go here.

I just wanted to say that in a way i agree with theDave. Nobody is as perfect as they would like to think, or like others to think and that as a human being we are prone to all sorts of dangerous things inside of us that start with harming ourselves and spread to those around us. All of us should never forget that we have the capacity to let greed, revenge, power, influence, and if you can think of anything else add it to the list, get the best of us.

The point is, as people none of us are exempt and we should all be vigilant against and recognize that part of our nature. Always be openhanded with your brother's and sisters. I'm not directing this at anybody in particular. just felt like i should say it.

I also have this verse in mind: And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. -Micah 6:8

Does God hate something because it's evil, or is it evil because God hates it?

The answer to that one is what all this life is about...but I should think it was very obvious. Take a look at what God has defined as sin. What are the effects of sin? Do you think those sins are evil just because God hates it? I don't think so. Sin brings misery and pain. So I guess a better question would be, "Does God have moral law that points out and punishes sin to protect us, or does He expect us to meet those requirements to pet His ego? The "sin" the bible talks about is "evil" even if there was no God to hate it.
