Tulip, the example of "racism" which really makes me unhappy is when people call employers racist for wanting to see an alien registration card which aliens are required to carry with them.

Tullip, interesting point, except the assumption is that the owner will want to expand in America, or actualy give back to his company and not hoard. I like seeing CEOs taking paycuts with their peoples... as for Dems or Reps, I've been in Lee Atwaters house for dinner. He's not racist. Democrats can be racist; if you are white, you are making most of your decisions based on race.(senator told me that, I won't say who) All I can say is, don't buy into stereotypes. Its the devils tool, keeps us busy from doing the Lords work.

Nkatty,

1babygirl is right. In addition to that, and I don't care who gets mad here because it needs to be said...there's still the race thing.

POINT BLANK PERIOD!

Obama didn't do anything worse than what Bush did in 8 years. Whatever though.

In 19 months, Obama added more to the national debt than every single other previous President COMBINED! That's not a race thing. That's a "spending money we don't have is dumb" thing.

HGG, you know what's up. It's like that on all the forums I'm on, except the ones that are majority African American.

It's very convienent for white people to say that there is no race issue, but we on the other side of the coin know full well there is.

I've never sat down and had tea with Mr. President, so I don't "know" him, neither do I agree with every little thing he does, but I like him as our representative and I most definitely love that he broke through the barrier that we once thought wouldn't be attainable at least in my lifetime.

Even the black republicans that I know can appreciate the fact that a black man made it to the top position in the land where a hundred years ago they were still lynching us and fifty years ago we couldn't even vote.

Race will always be an issue til Jesus cracks the sky, the thing is to acknowledge it, but not let it effect and guide your judgment, what you do and how you treat people. IMO

1BabyGirl: "Girl, this is a Republican, conservative forum board with many believing you have to be Republican in oder to be a Christian, so I'll be probably the only positive response you'll get. I love Obama and his wife. I'll be voting for him, I'm glad he's my Prez."

Unfortunately, my dear BabyGirl, you are quite correct. I'll bet that would even make a hotly debated topic for discussion..."Must you be a Republican if you love the Lord?" I became aware of that way of thinking when Reagan was president, Moral Majority and Operation Rescue were the conservative "clubs" of the day, homosexuals were the "cause" of Aids, and there could be no such thing as Christian Rock worship music.

I am a supporter of Barack Obama as well. I am a bit unhappy with his convictions concerning Israel and the Palastinians. He needs better advice, but I share his desire for peace. I just disagree with his proposal. Anyway, I am looking forward to getting my new "Obama in 2012" bumper sticker. I appreciate him as president as well.

It is difficult to keep my composure many times when I read how "President Obama has done more things to hurt this country..." I pray for him as I prayed for other presidents.

And concerning the race issue, I work in education and I can tell you that racisim is indeed taught to a child. I see how it progresses or is terminated by parents' influences. But it goes far beyond a black/white issue. This is just the one the United States has had to deal with the longest. Racism has been "imported" into this country, too. Sects and castes are alive and well here, also. Come Lord Jesus!

BG, do you understand how ridiculous it sounds to say that my objections to Obama's policies are not because I actually disagree with them, but because I secretly don't know that I'm racist? I've laid out quite a number of things I disagree with him on, and I'd appreciate a response to those points instead of dismissing them and calling me racist.
