God says, in one year...

Oh my goodness.

When I woke up this morning, I saw on the news:

OSAMA BIN LADEN DEAD!

I'm sure many ppl were thrilled, but it was something deeper for me. The Lord gave me that prophecy some time back during my worship/devotional time, and I wrote it down, and kind of let it go.

He said that ppl would be celebrating and gave me the headline that would be in one of the newspapers.

I had to go back and dig through a load of notebooks, (cause I'm a writer...lol), and find the prophecy He gave me concerning Osama, and BAM! I found it.

I looked at the date that He gave it to me, and it said, 5/1/10. That was an exact year to the date of his death 5/1/11. I WAS BLOWN AWAY!

Has the Lord ever given you a prophecy or just a simple word, large or small, and you saw it come to pass just the way He said it would?

No, God does not lie, and in that regard, I agree with you. But our interpretations of scripture can lie to us, and we can be deceived.

If that were not true, then there would not be thirty or so thousand different denominations, each claiming to some degree ahdrerence to the prayer of Jesus that we shoudl all be of like mind, and unified in the Spirit.

About prophetic dreams, they have done more to destroy the body of Christ than even personal interpreations of scripture have done.

And therefore, it follows that most dreams, signs and wonders are not of the Lord at all.

We should not be surprised at this, as Jesus spoke about this very phenomenon, and cautioned us against it.

thank you for sharing, and blessings.

John

John, I respect your opinion. I really do, but it wasn't a dream.

I was wide awake. It wasn't a vision either. It was the Lord speaking to me softly.

See, what I've learned to do so I won't doubt Him is to write down and date what he says, basically journaling.

Many things He's spoken to me have come to pass. Many. This one was different because this was on an international scale. I'm used to the Holy Spirit speaking about things to come specifically in my life.

I didn't share it to destroy anyone, I shared it because it's a testimony. My testimony. It should encourage others to spend time with the Lord/devotional time, etc.

I feel a few things that actually divide Christians are denominiations, hate and jealousy, envy, judgement, and probably a few other negative things.

Thanks so much for your response!!!!!!!!!!

Oops, I forgot to say one thing John....

Well, I said it, I just need to re-iterate it.

The Holy Spirit gave me the words and the date to write. I was just being obedient. If it isn't true, I'm just amazed by how his death date is one year to the date the Holy Spirit had me write.Could it be just a coincidence? Hmmm...I'm trying to learn how to trust what the Lord says. Thus far, He's never steered me wrong, and I try realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly hard not to say something unless I know without a shadow of the doubt that He said it, not me. Why in the world would I make up something about Osama Bin Laden...hahaha...especially during my praise and worship time with the Lord.:prayingf:

Once again though, I respect your opinion!

@HolyGhostGirl

Thank you for respecting my opinion.

I do not anyone's respect of my opinion.

We do not even know if Bin Laden is dead.

All we have is mainstream media reports.

Your own experience is not only valuable, but precious.

As for me, I have experienced every vision and dream and inkling from the Lord, only to find out later that I had been deceived.

I do not say that your experience is the same as mine.

I only ask you to consider that another can perceive himself to have gone through the same experiences only to have ended up with a very different perception that your own.

Don't forget, I am your brother, you are my sister.

blessings,

John

Who stands more to lose if all this is a lie?

Obviously it is the President a year before an election (plenty of time to be exposed if false), and the entire DoD, and the media losing credibility with the entire world in black and white.

You better believe they are going to do their home work before announcing this. That against your feeling that it's a conspiracy with no proof whatsoever means he's dead. Dead, dead, dead. The biggest pile of garbage on the planet is dead.

Rock on Holyghostgirl. :rocknroll:

@IOnlyDateCheerleaders

You seem to be still under the delusion that Obama is your president.

None of them have anything to lose, they know they have conditioned us and our parents and even our grandparents for decades.

If you continue to date only Cheerleaders, I suspect you will remain stuck in your own cave of limited uinderstanding....my brother!

Did you really post out of interest of what I had written, or instead only to make a sideways-pass at the author of the original post, to let her know, at my expense, that you think she is cool and you would like to cuddle up next to her?

Or, instead, are you really willing to open up your eyes to get into the deeper nature of what is going on with this "Bin Laden is dead" business?

blessings,

John

Dear John...

Why after saying something offensive, cold, or just plain rude, do you bother ending your post with 'blessings!'?

How sarcastic of you.

Just thought I'd ask and see what's going on up there in your head that you have the urging to strike out at people.

"Blessings!"

@MsMarvel,

Well, two points in response to your incisive post me-ward.

1. First, you criticized me for doing a certain thing a certain way, then you went ahead and did the same thing that you criticized me about, and thought that you could somehow exonerate yourself by placing quotations around the word "blessings" in your own post back to me!

2. You are insightful, but seem to have not yet understood that God's mercy cannot be separated from his judgment. Therefore, you still see things in terms of "either/or" and "us/them", and that error tends to leave you puffed up and thinking that others are rude when in fact they are being merciful.

For even King David understood that God's afflictions were the same as God's mercies, and even the Apostle Paul learned the same.

And didn't Jesus learn obedience to the Father BY THE THINGS THAT HE SUFFERED ?

What I appreciate about your response to me, MsMarvel, is that it is offered in candor, from an honest heart, and with good intentions. I hope you will accept my response in the same spirit.

your brother, and blessings, and "blessings",

John

p.s. @ MsMarvel

Perhaps you are correct.

My response to IDateOnlyCheerleaders was "straight guy talk", and perhaps I should not have worded it that way in the company of female viewers of this particular thread.

I was just hoping to respond to my brother's post in the most honest way I knew how.

If you can put on your "man thinking cap" you will see that I did not offend my brother at all, but only responded to his comment as any good man would respond to another.

"blessings" , and forgive me if you think me rude. Never my intention.
