Guys if a girl in her profile says she is curvy/ curvaceous and only has head shots, do you think it`s impolite to ask for a full body shot before you meet her?

Curvy, curvaceous can have different meanings.

All of the terms that are used in the profile are subjective. Like Tulip said, what is an average woman? From looking at profiles on this site, it all depends on where you live. If you are in California or Florida, the average seems to be a woman who has a healthy weight and a traditional hourglass figure. If you live in the Midwest, the average seems to be slightly overweight and out of shape. If you live in the Philippines average is someone who is slender. The only way to come up with a standard is to pull out the measuring tape, but I doubt women would appreciate that. Much easier to just post a full body picture.

Devotedandtrue: Read Song of Solomon and then tell me that appreciating a womans beauty is wrong. Its one thing to choose a wife based solely on their beauty, but to say that it is somehow moral or Christian to ignore it all together is not Biblical.

Well I for one will tell the guy straight up how much I weigh. I want a guy to take me for me, not how much I weigh. I have been the skinny barbie doll (before I got into an abusive marriage). To tell the truth I love my personality alot better then when I was the skinny barbie doll. Flaws and imprefections make people nicer. If Ireally wanted to lose the weight I could. But I view it as a protection thing. Every "hot" guy I have ever dated etc, always abused me. I really don't want to be attractive to them. Yes I am not as healthy as I want to be. But one day I will get back to that. I would rather settle down with a guy when I am overweight. He loves my body at any weight. And then I surprise him and lose weight.

So here's my stats 5''8 and 258 lbs. Yea thats some big woman. lol. Before I was married I was 125-130 lbs. Sometimes I am mad at my ex husband because he got to have the perfect wedding, perfect wifes body etc. But he didn't treat me right. I was holed up in the house all day everyday. While he neglected me and hung out with his friends. And he was a preacher, used his bible, to control me. Now what is he doing? Not preaching, not even going to church, doing drugs, and hooking up with random women.

I don't like shallow people. I tend to find that most really hot guys are shallow. Theres a difference between shallow and having self respect. The ones I find are just straight up shallow.

They will have sex with a big woman. But not date them. I think that is so wrong. In so many ways.

So I guess the answer to your question is.... ask politely. Its her body, she should own up to her imperfections. Or whatever. But becareful because it could backfire, with her getting her feelings hurt.

LOL but if you ask us a question, becareful we might ask one back.

Well, I'm one of those girls who put that I have an "average" body type. I guess I would qualify for the "few extra pounds", "curvy/curvaceous", or even the "well proportioned" category, though. I have an hour-glass figure with plenty of curves, but it's a little larger than some girls' because I'm still working on losing weight. I don't think I look especially fat, and my weight doesn't keep me from doing anything I want to; at the same time, though, I'm not slender or thin...and even though I do most of my shopping in the petite section (except for petite pants, which are too short!), I don't think most people would describe me as petite.

So, I called myself "average" and posted a full-body picture. I guess I need to get someone to take another picture of me, though, because I've lost another 10 pounds since all my profile pictures were taken!

Does anyone have a better suggestion for what I should put as my body type?

I would stick with average. Curvy would probably apply as well, but some men consider curvy as another way to say they have a few extra pounds. Very subjective.

I would get some new full body pics. Now that it's getting warm outside, you should be able to get one of your friends to take a few pics of you after church in your Sunday dress.

devotedandtrue:

You are one wise young man...unfortunately "young" being the operative word!

Curvy/Curvacious does mean different things to different people. Why can't we all just look at the heart...true physical beauty comes from within. How many times, after we really get to know someone from spending time with or talking to or just being around on a daily basis does our image of them change?
