How Do You Like Your Women? UMBILICAL CORD OR NO UMBILICAL CORD?

My cousins were talking about the following topic the other night, (and would you believe it, I stayed out of it. Opinionated Holy Ghost Girl stayed out of it..haha) Anyway, I'd like for you guys to voice your opinions. It's kind of a survey of sorts...haha

Okay so...

They had divided opinions. Half of them believed that a woman should NOT live with her parents/family until she gets married, she should move out and live alone. Afterall, who knows how long it might take for her to get married. "Cut the umbilical cord," they said.

Okay so...

The other half of them thought it was better for a woman to live with her parents/family until she was married, for a variety of reasons. I guess something to the effect of Mark 10:7 in reverse...lol...

"That's why a man will leave his father and mother and will remain united with his wife."

I suppose the question to you guys is....Would you marry a woman who was in her 20's, 30's, 40's or however old, and still lives with her parents?

I won't say how I feel YET. I'll wait to ruffle feathers later...lol...for some reason it seems like I have the ability to do that.

Thanks in advance for your wise responses!!!:glow:

Stegoodie, to quote you....

"I think it depends on the nature of why she would be living with her parents."

May I ask, like what? May you give an example? Just curious.

I don't agree with the idea of living at home until you get married. If we really want to do everything the way it was done in the Old Testament, we need to get married by arranged marriage in our early teens. A large part of that transition from childhood to adulthood is learning to live out on your own and take care of yourself. Do I really have a problem with a girl living at home for college? Nope. Nearly dated one of those a while back. But would I consider a serious relationship with a woman who still lived at home after graduation and had no intention of moving out until she got married? Most likely not. Can I say for certain? Nope. God created the Universe with a word. I don't doubt he could change my heart with one as well.

Well,to be honest,it's not a problem with me on that since living on your own is tough nowadays. Also,if she's sacrificed her job for her dreams & the only way she can survive is by getting all her needs & support from her parents for doing so,then that's understandable. But it is a problem if she does'nt wants to work, don't have dreams & goals to follow & depends on her family to support her doing nothing!:excited:
