Is modesty sexy? (ie...dressing in long dresses instead of shorter fitting ones, etc. You get the point) Can a christian woman be sexy? Appealing? Not trashy, I said sexy. The reason I ask is because a Christian husband I'm sure wants a desirable woman, especially if he's waited for. Marriage is forever. DON'T GET MAD AT ME, I'M JUST ASKIN. Post Reply

There is a visual element to sex, and we ought not separate that from the sex act itself and think that it is okay to turn men on, as long as they're looking with their eyes and not their hands. We should desire to be pure and modest and to keep our future marriage beds undefiled. When we get dressed, we should not be asking, "How much can I get away with?" We should be asking, "How can I dress in a way that honours God and will not cause others to stumble?" Post Reply

"I'm heavily endowed and I have been lusted after since I was 12 by teens & grown men alike. So, it turns me completely off to be the focus of that type of attention, because if you like it on me, you like it on others. I want the man I'm with to see the inappropriateness of underdressing in public just like other women do." Been going through it since I was 8. I know, that's yucky, but it's a lot of per ver ts out here. Anyway, " "The Word says to be modest, so that IS how it's supposed to be. It's sexy to be obedient to the Word." lol...that was cute. You're right. I wish modest was defined a little bit more. Some men on this website ,who are very into me and want to pursue marriage have mentioned the way I dress. Basically questioning my modesty. I'm in a pair of jeans and a shirt that covers EVERYTHING, and they question my modesty?lol...What I've found out is they're really questioning my body type, but this is the way God made me. I'm kind of feeling that trash bag dress...depending on the color...lol Maybe we should design it and sell for $19.99 each...lol...People like fads, right? Anyway, I NEVER dress sexy for a man. The reason I asked is because some guys on this website who are very interested in me have mentioned something about my modesty. It bothered me because I was wearing a pair of jeans and a shirt that covered everything. When I got down to the bottom of it, they were really having insecurities about my body type, and that's their own fault and ignorance. Post Reply

"Even if I had a wife I wouldn't want her to show too much skin in public so that it doesn't cause other guys to lust after her and cause them to commit sin. I would rather have "my girl" dress in fitted jeans and a fitted T in public, it is modest and appealing, but yet does not cause me to lust." My issues with that are as follows: Your woman is dressing all nice and modest while you guys are out, are you going to be checking the next chick walkin by that's not dressed modest? Are you going to lust after her? Be honest...with yourself. Well, when I wear fitted tees and jeans, I get told that I'm not being modest.....at least by these men on this site. Hmmm...go figure! I a pretty smart guy, but I also understand where my mind can trail to if I let and I would rather be thinking about my wife than any other girl so she well definitely catch me checking her out. Hand a boy an unwrapped toy.. he might almost yawn after he gets done playing with it for five minutes. Most males are still boys. In many respects. Seriously. If a Christian woman chooses to dress like a harlot, she shouldn't be surprised to see just how lustfully men will respond. Posted : 17 Apr, 2011 10:13 AM @ Holy Ghost Girl,I'll tell you about what I have read &i think I understand what you mean in a way.Yes,I see where you are coming from about some of guys here on CDFF area saying about you dressing indecent because they have never seen you in person is wrong.you should only say to a girl if you know her personally & HAVE seen you dressing in that sort of way & its a lady who you'll like to be in a relationship one day,but it's a little bit uncomfortable & distracting or you're concerned about that. Another thing that also tooked me a while to understand at first is that if a lady has a certain body type,ALMOST EVERY piece of clothing APPEARS to be indecent,but they actually a DO WEAR a LOOSE clothing!I have a best friend for a while who wears long & very loose dresses,but because of her body type (which is big hips & a very round behind area) she still looks like if she wears almost close fitting clothing.I can Say this 'cause I know what almost what she wears in her warobe & I can Say THERE'S NOTHING IN there that's very short! (but at the same time it's a little ridiculous that some ladies of that body type are using this as a smart way for an excuse). But as the same time on the topic,yes,a true Christian woman should be careful about what she wears if she's looking for a true Christian man of God & a true man of God don't look at her because of what she looks on OUTSIDE but FOR WHO SHE IS on the INSIDE! :excited: Post Reply
