Roles reversed?

I have a friend who is engaged and I asked her fiance' if he had a problem with her ministry flourishing as in her ministry is more prominent than his own. He told me the bible said that women submit to their husbands so she would have to hang back for his own. Someone please explain this to me because I'm noticing a trend here in ppl applying scripture for their own gain.

Some of you are really getting to know our Pixy and Sparrows to well.

As for the original post, I should have mentioned, not knowing the whole situation, what I wrote is contingent on life in general. There maybe more to this situation than is mentioned, like Pixy pointed out, and so what I say may just be pointless.

I believe that women sin by taking their eyes off God and putting their confidence in men...even Christian men, even husbands.

I believe men sin by taking their eyes off God and focusing on their own accomplishments and success.

I believe people sin by taking their eyes off God and putting their confidence in pastors/ministers/teachers.

I believe pastors/ministers/teachers sin by taking their eyes off God and focusing on their accomplishments and success.

The reality is the person most people take their eyes off God for is themselves.

I believe the Bible where it says the enemy will strike the heel of Jesus, however Jesus will crush his head. I also believe blessed are the feet of them that bring Good News.

And this isn't in the Bible cause I just made it up : The one who steps on toes is not necessarily walking in darkness but rather; in a straight line.

I believe twosparrows that you're so close to Jesus if you threw a rock it'd probably hit him. (Don't throw rocks)

I wouldn't throw any rock but can I throw the dice? We can start playing monopoly now :ribbit: hehe

Anyway, since I don't know the whole story and don't want to make up the story on my own, I will tell u what I know, another point of view from what some fellas had been sharing here (good points have been shared here, btw). Um maybe out of topic :goofball:

The reason God joined two people to become one, is to glorify Him and to make His purpose on each of those two persons to become even more solid so the man and the woman could encourage each other, not to race each other to the goal but to help each other reaching the goal together. Now, u were saying that he said some things about being submissive and the ministry bla bla bla (again, I don't know the whole story) but if he isn't supporting her in her ministry, or vice versa, maybe they're not right for each other. MAYBE. So, the being submissive is another problem they have, but is there any possibility of they don't have the same purpose in life as a couple as they're having different purposes on their own? If they have the same purpose as a couple, I don't think the man would say a comment like that? Or it's just a sentence he threw and there were other sentences before/after he threw that verse?

Anyhow, whatever the situation is, I'm praying for God's will be done to your friend and her fiancee.
