Watched a DVD tonight in ladies bible study. Beth Moore is teaching on inheritance, and she drew some fabulous parallels between the story of Abraham being asked to sacrifice his son Isaac and Jesus dying for us. I had never heard that take on it before - awesome stuff.

Godslamb -

You like Beth Moore!? She was my Sunday School teacher!! I can't tell you how much she has influenced me!! Her faith and love for God is so contaigous. When I first went under her teaching I was so ready to hear, and man, she was the first person who really inspired me to study!

She just started a weekly bible study here in Houston on Tuesday nights. I've been going to a small group but think I'll go there beginning next week. She will start the book of James!

What did she say?

I think my upstairs neighbour has acquired a pet elephant.

I like Kettle chips.

I like Kettle chips too much.

I rarely allow myself to buy Kettle chips.

I took my contacts out for the evening and am wearing my glasses. I look horrible in glasses. I've always wanted to be one of these girls who looks cute in glasses. I'm not one of those girls.

Did you all know that I like cotton candy? I really do.

I also want a pet koala, which has been on my profile a bunch of times. My future husband will get me a pet koala because I will have him wrapped around my finger! He was steal one from Aussieland for me.

I'm really enjoying my art history class. I've decided that I must have a book of hours (an illuminated one), even though I'm not Catholic.

I've been trying to figure out how I came to be 32. I think somebody messed up with the counting in there somewhere. It surely can't be true.

I use Garnier hair colour. It's called chocolate cherry (or is it cherry chocolate?). I used to be a Clairol girl, but this stuff is better. My hair has decided to be black. It was black when I was born, but then got lighter after all that baby hair fell out. It was a pretty auburn colour for awhile when I was little. I'm just trying to go back to that auburn colour.

I'm really tired and should be in bed right now. Or, if I'm not going to go to bed, I should work on my psychology stuff. I have a 64-page paper due the end of the quarter. We're 3 weeks into the 10-week quarter and I've barely started it yet.

I think men are great. I'm so glad that God made men. They're amazing creatures; truly.

I love Mark Driscoll/Mars Hill sermons. I listen to a few of them a week. he says a lot of great stuff about marriage that has helped me to understand some things.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO scared of bats. Nobody send me a box of bats, okay?

Does anyone here still colour? Like with crayons on paper, you know? (Or, on the wall? hehe...) It's a great stress reliever. Right before I moved out of my parents' house, I coloured on the closet wall--because I wanted it to be my room forever. I needed to leave my mark. My parents still haven't discovered it, probably because I still have some stuff in the closet. I'm 100% sure that my mother will call to scream at me once she does discover it.

This is kind of nice just rambling like this. I should paste this all into my profile. It's not nearly long enough yet.

I'm hungry. I wish I had some pizza.

I like Audrey Assad.

If you're still reading, it's time to play the "Hokey Pokey." Everyone stick your left foot in and shake it all about!!

Thanks for the assurance and advice ladies,I'll have to punch him from afar.I'll pray your dog returns too. Guys if a girl panics a little or shares her fear or a trouble with you,it means she trusts you.

I want to talk about monkeys today. I've never had one but when I go to the zoo I can watch their antics for hours.

I've seen one ride a horse before and I don't think they're afraid of bats. Do girls like monkeys?

If not; Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle!

Chevy.... dude..... that monkey is freaking me out. And I don't freak easily. Could you have picked a picture that was less...... you know..... freaky? Ug.

@Margo: I'll have to write up all my notes in coherent form and put it on the Biblical thread. I just love gaining new insights into God's word!! And the fact that you had Beth Moore as your Sunday School teacher? :yay:

Gl, the monkey is soooo cute though. How can you not like the monkey.

Ok for all you gardeners out there, heres a tip I learned today at a Fruit tree sale.

If you spray a cup of brewed coffee (must be brewed) to 1 gallon of water on strawberries, it will kill slugs and snails. They have to eat the coffee in order to be killed. Guess the caffeine kick is to much for their little hearts.

Hey Godslamb! I have an idea -

I'll start going to her Tuesday night study on James, and maybe we can both post our notes. Is your study ongoing?

Grace and Peace :peace:
