Have you ever heard a Gal say when talking about her ex-husband :

"Oh he is a great father, but a terrible husband"

I think to myself ; "How can that be possible?".....then I have other thoughts....hahaha.

I think there's a little "chicken or the egg" scenario here. Did woman abandon their role because men were abusing their role? I don't think there's any excuse for either side, and I think feminism is wrong, and I think it has hurt women far more than it has "liberated" them, but I think women have more historical ammo in the gender wars. They deserve a lot more respect then they were getting, I just think they took the ball and ran with it a bit too far. It happened at a bad time too, lots of moral slippage around the same time...evolution...anyway. There's a poultry dynamic in marriage also. I've seen women nag/complain/belittle/control/back-bite their husbands to death and then complain some more when their husbands dislike/avoid their company. I've seen husbands abuse/belittle/control and basically drag their wives into slave labor and then are dumbfounded when the wives want a divorce. So it's hard to say who's at fault. What I get tired of is that it seems like nobody looks at themselves first or tries to change, they focus on everyone else's failures/faults. If people worried more about their side of the equation and led by example, we might not have so much downward spiral. Just seems like everyone is blind to their own faults and/or in constant self-defense mode...and even if we see or admit to a fault, we rarely try to change...we just claim "victim" status and continue being hypocritical. We have a bad habit of being selfish and loving ourselves too much to change our faults even if we see one. We can't stand failures/faults in other people and we can't help pointing them out, but God forbid someone points our faults out...we might crucify them...anyway...I'm gonna step off my hypocrisy/pride soapbox now, I'm starting to sound hypocritical:laugh:.

:applause: To Dont! It's a case by case situation and I feel the men are going to answer to God in a bigger way than women for the mess in this world.

If you look at the foot of the cross, you see women that had the intestinal fortitude to stick it out with Jesus to the end, and one man, John. My favorite!

Humble men are few and far between these days and sadly, they set the standard for the women and children. There are some great, humble men in this forum and I give you a high 5! :applause:

Neither of my husbands were good dads or husbands most of the time. My second one tried in his own way, but he was afflicted in many ways.

I feel that a Christlike husband can woo his wife and children to himself and be honored without demanding it at all. How I love and treat Jesus is how I love my mate. When I feel deeply loved, I trust and will bend over backwards to serve that man. But, we must both work at it and if one is humble and teachable and the other one is prideful and authoritative, it's hard to reciprocate.

Yes, there are prideful, liberal women everywhere and it will take a move of God to turn this nation around. A lot of those women have been hurt, hold unforgiveness and now act like men. :MrT:

Sparrow, I really don't see how you can think I am a feminist. Honestly? I think you are on the defensive simply because I questioned something about you. I know the reality of how awful feminism is, and how it belittles Gods design. I am simply saying that often times you say things with a slant that make me think you are a tad sexist. And now, ignorant, because you know nothing of what I know. I respect you, but you are proclaiming to things which you cannot know about me, and to turn it on me by suggesting I do not like women. I am really disappointed in your tactics sometimes. You shoot from the hip, and sometimes I dont think you fully think through and just lead with your first emotion.

Perhaps you can message me and let me know what I have said that is feminist, or if my short hair concerns you, so as not to hijack this thread. If there is something about my character that worries you, I would like to know.

And I agree with DontHit, as usual it takes two to tango society into oblivion, and itll take two to get it out.

Siylii,

I respectfully offer my assistance to you, since you asked. I will post what has been said in a chronological order so you may see for yourself who is saying what.

Sy) Sparrow, I get the impression you either don't like women very much or have had some very unfortunate experiences with some.

Ts) However I can see from your posts you have embraced a certain amount of feminism.....but you have been taught revisionist history. You simply do not know the truth because you do not know history. I am not talking about citing isolated cases, but the big picture.

Two, I have to agree with Syli here. Call me a Feminine Nazi if you want, but you are starting to attack her. She asked for privacy, you disrespected her there. I do not think in anyway that is Godly.

Going on

As for American Women calling men jerks. When men, refuse to work, refuse to contribute their equal work load, then yes, i think they are jerks. I personally don't think most men are this way, but there are a few, both "Christian" and non-Christian. I also think abusive men are jerks, and unfortunately, there are way too many around. Too many horror stories, to deny this.

Sometimes it does seem like men disrespect women more, but that maybe because we have in our own way disrespected them. Respect has to be a two way street, you earn respect by giving respect.

Someone remind me not confuse my posts. Just realized I posted part of this in the wrong section.

Oh and to be fair to the men, when we women refuse to pull our weight, or are abusive (gasp, can that be), we are also jerks too.

Violakat,

You shared,

"Two, I have to agree with Syli here. Call me a Feminine Nazi if you want, but you are starting to attack her. She asked for privacy, you disrespected her there. I do not think in anyway that is Godly"

This is really amazing! ...lol.

1) You suggest that I will call you a feminine nazi if I disagree.

2) With proof of who attacked who first, in front of your eyes, you accuse me of attacking

3) You say I disrespected her request for privacy? ...lol! I copied and pasted what she said publicly, nothing more.

4) You accuse me of being unGodly? ....lol!....and your post is?

And you managed it all in 3 sentences!

Siylii and Violakat,

Ladies, just so we are on the same page, let's go over the rules:

1) You are allowed to initiate a public attack and be Godly.

2) I have to respond only by private mail or appear unGodly.

3) There shall be no documentation of what has actually been said.

Thank you ladies, I am beginning to understand the answer to the orginal post.
