Younger man/older womanPosted : 24 Nov, 2010 03:18 PMI feel your love for each other coupled with God's love in your hearts make the difference, not how many years apart in age you are ... of course, it would be HARDER, if you have too many years difference in your ages, to relate to SOME things that you know about GENERATIONALLY and enjoy, but then again, this gives you each the opportunity to TEACH the other new things to share with each other, which can enhance your love and your relationship, if you let them!!! :hearts::hearts::hearts: |

Younger man/older womanPosted : 24 Nov, 2010 05:50 PM@Twosparrows--I tend to think that too big of an age difference can cause problems, but I know of several people who have done fine with it. Most of those couples have been the man older/woman younger combo. That seems to be acceptable to many people. However the older woman/younger man seems to be less so. |

Younger man/older womanPosted : 24 Nov, 2010 05:52 PM@ SilverFire~~it seems as if I've heard that seven years either way formula someplace else. It seems like a fairly good rule of thumb. Thanks! |

Younger man/older womanPosted : 24 Nov, 2010 05:56 PM@ Tulip89~~I can understand how at your age, it might feel a bit odd to date someone much younger than you. That may change as you get older. I have found that men who are close to my age seem to favor much younger women. Just seems to be a pattern. |

Younger man/older womanPosted : 24 Nov, 2010 06:02 PMAchimedes~~I think it does have to be mostly about the 2 people involved. Seems to me that it really is more acceptable and easier for people to understand if it's the older man/younger woman scenario than the other way around. I will admit to being somewhat more attracted to men who are slightly younger than I am, but am hesitant to get too attached. Just trying to leave things in God's hands and pray, pray, pray for his guidance! Thanks for the response! |
